Emma Chase, New York Times bestselling author of the Tangled Series & Legal Briefs Series, returns with the first of three sizzling standalone books about a family of racy, irresistible Royals.

Nicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, Crowned Prince of Wessco, aka “His Royal Hotness”, is wickedly charming, devastatingly handsome, and unabashedly arrogant—hard not to be when people are constantly bowing down to you.

Then, one snowy night in Manhattan, the prince meets a dark haired beauty who doesn’t bow down. Instead, she throws a pie in his face.

Nicholas wants to find out if she tastes as good as her pie, and this heir apparent is used to getting what he wants.

Dating a prince isn’t what waitress Olivia Hammond ever imagined it would be.

There’s a disapproving queen, a wildly inappropriate spare heir, relentless paparazzi, and brutal public scrutiny. While they’ve traded in horse drawn carriages for Rolls Royces and haven’t chopped anyone’s head off lately—the royals are far from accepting of this commoner.

But to Olivia—Nicholas is worth it.

***
Nicholas grew up with the whole world watching, and now Marriage Watch is in full force. In the end, Nicholas has to decide who he is, but more importantly, who he wants to be: a King... or the man who gets to love Olivia forever.

Jenn’s Review: 10 Royal stars

Once upon a time there was a prince who took my heart…

In a kingdom not so far away from the common people lives a Queen with her two grandsons. Prince Nicholas who is the heir to the Crown and his younger brother Prince Henry. There is some instability in the country and Queen thinks the only solution to calm the people and make them forget about the current issues is to have a big Royal wedding. The problem is Prince Henry is nowhere to be found since he has been partying all over the world for the past months and Queen is sending Prince Nicholas to New York to get him home.

She also informs Nicholas that he has 5 months to live it out so to say before they will choose one woman of the noble descendents who will be his bride. He agrees unwillingly but will do everything for his kingdom and its people.

Prince Nicholas leaves for United States without any idea what will await for him there. His purpose was to find his brother but he will also find someone who will come to play a big role in his life and change his future…

Prince William and Prince Harry please step aside…
New Royals are here and they are here to stay!

For a person who lives in a country with an active kingdom and God bless the future Queen HRH Princess Victoria and her lovely Prince Daniel who are such an adorable couple but… In all honesty Prince Nicholas and Olivia stole my heart away! *LOOOOOOVE*

There are no words enough to describe how good, no, not good…. AMAZING this book is! I felt so many things while reading that I had a hard time keeping track of them all myself. Knowing Emma Chase previous stories I was expecting another great romantic comedy but this was so so soooooo much more than that.

“The secret to a long and successful relationship is frequent absences.”

A modern fairy tale that felt so real I had to keep reminding myself that I was reading a book and not someone’s autobiography. The book is from DUAL POV both Nicholas and Olivia’s. It was written so masterfully and beautifully with high doses for details. I lost myself and was transferred into the whole story. I could almost touch the palace walls, feel the texture of the furniture and textiles that’s how greatly it was described and painted for the reader. They say a picture says more than a 1000 words…well lies all lies. Each word here was golden.

“I had what my parents had. I held it in my hands.
Knowing her…changed everything.
And loving her…Brought me to life.”

I simply fell in love with everything! The story…. The characters…. All the feelings this caused me. Chemistry that Nick and Olivia shared was so heart touching, undeniable and EXPLOSIVE. Those two were simply perfect for each other!

And don’t even get me started on those amazing “Outlanderish” accent. My heart skipped a beat each time I read lass, lad and so on. Outstanding 🙂

There were two special moments that made my heart bleed. The walking situation with the young princes that just melted my insides and a piece of my soul got ripped apart right there. And the highly suspenseful and emotional moment in that royal office that broke me completely and shattered all my hopes and dreams for the main couple.

“And I betrayed her. I doubted her love and her honesty when I should’ve known better.
But I will not betray her again.”

The way Nicholas was presented pleased me in every way. He was a true gentleman who knew how women should be treated and acted from that knowledge. He also knew what his responsibilities in life were and did his best to complete each and single one. But the one quality that really sold me on the guy was how much love there was in his heart. He loved and cared for his family and friends and the small things he did for his brother were bigger than anything else in my eyes.

“You asked for a warning, Olivia, so here it is. I am coming for you.
I love you Olivia. I don’t need a kingdom if you’re beside me, I already have the whole world.”

And Olivia…Hardworking, strong and loving woman who did everything she could for her family and their wellbeing. Even in the toughest situations with no light in the tunnel she held her head high and searched for a solution that will have her dignity intact. Once she loved…. she loved hard.

So long story short… This was one of the ABSOLUTELY BEST BOOKS I have read this year. Don’t think about it, just drop everything and get your copy of this marvelous piece of literature. I LOVED IT, and will keep loving it beyond time and can’t wait to buy my paperback copy that will have a honor place on my bookshelf and I hope and pray that the opportunity will come one day to meet the amazingly talented Emma and get this baby signed.

And I just can’t wait for the audiobook either. That will be EPIC…. simply plain EPIC I tell ya. Be sure to get this book in every edition possible. You will not be disappointed, be sure of that.

Now Please give me Prince Henry…. Can’t wait for his story which will be one heck of a ride 🙂
