He's won the hearts of millions. But is he willing to lose his?

I met the president’s son when we were both young. Matthew Hamilton was handsome, polished, and intelligent. I’d never met a guy like him.

He promised me that he’d never run for president. I promised that if he did, I’d be by his side.

Three terms later, an invitation to join Matthew Hamilton’s campaign is the most exhilarating opportunity I’ve ever experienced. I'm determined to make a difference; he is determined to win.

Focused on his goal, Matt is steadfast, ruthless, and disarming. All eyes are on him and his popularity is surging. But soon, the next possible president of the United States is possessing me in more ways than one—and despite the risks, I'm helpless to resist.

We're stealing touches, stealing moments, and stealing away at night. But our chemical connection is quickly becoming dangerously combustive, putting not only my heart, but Matt's chance at the presidency on the line.

Winning will take everything. Walking away will be the hardest thing of all.

Book Review: 5+++ Stars

five-stars

There are a books that captivate my heart with the characters, others with the storyline, others with the writing. When a book can dazzle me with these three aspects, I’m a goner for it. But when these three points not only fascinate me, but also make me obsess about the book, make me fall in love with the book, make me dream about it—yeah, fucking dream, I even dreamt about being devastated because I couldn’t vote for Matt Hamilton because I am not an American citizen—I know I’m lost and the author of said book has me by the balls that I don’t have, forever and ever. And this is what happened to me with Mr. President.

When I started reading it, I was hooked just by the first chapter, with the fascination of Charlotte with Matt at such young age #GirlhasaCrush, with her admiration with Matt’s father and most of all, with her personality. And then, the story begun. Eleven years later, Matt is running for President of the United States and Charlotte was offered to work in Matt’s team and of course she accepted. Working with the man who’s been her crush since she was a child was exhilarating for her, and she felt she was contributing for the future of the country, she knew she was making the difference. And eleven years later, it was Matt’s turn to feel the fascination Charlotte felt. He was attracted to her, he felt drawn to her, he wanted her with him at all times, when he was working on his campaign, but also the few times a week he was free, he wanted her with him. And they fell in love <3 *sighhhhhh*

Everything looks perfect, right? Well, sadly it wasn’t. When I was reading this book I kept thinking about how to write my review, about how to explain the forbidden love of Matt and Charlotte, why it wasn’t just a cliche, but one original forbidden kind of love, but I decided not to say a thing about it. First, it’d have been a spoilerish kinda review, and that’s not my style, and second, I think it’s better for everyone to experience this book and fall in love with it as much as I did.

What I can say is that I loved every single word written in this book. I love Matt and Charlotte’s mind, heart and soul, they were people meant to serve the country, even if they weren’t politicians, they loved their country and their people and they wanted the best for them. I love Matt’s speech in his campaign, I wish he was real so I could vote for him. And of course, I loved their romance. Every moment they spent together was perfection, every time they made love I was left daydreaming about it and shivering with excitement, because it was all so beautiful.

I can’t wait for the second book of The White House Duet, thank God it’ll be out in january, so I won’t have to wait so long… In the meantime, I’ll reread this book, I don’t have the chance to do that anymore, but this book deserves a second read, and when the audiobook is available, I’ll certainly will get it and I’ll relive Charlotte and Matt’s story.

C is for Charlotte
J is for junk food in cafeterias
P is for pudding
H is for heart of stone
C is for campaigning
C is for Charlotte coming in my arms

I will add one on my own…

P is for perfect… Because Mr. President is PERFECT!
