He's won the hearts of millions. But is he willing to lose his?

I met the president’s son when we were both young. Matthew Hamilton was handsome, polished, and intelligent. I’d never met a guy like him.

He promised me that he’d never run for president. I promised that if he did, I’d be by his side.

Three terms later, an invitation to join Matthew Hamilton’s campaign is the most exhilarating opportunity I’ve ever experienced. I'm determined to make a difference; he is determined to win.

Focused on his goal, Matt is steadfast, ruthless, and disarming. All eyes are on him and his popularity is surging. But soon, the next possible president of the United States is possessing me in more ways than one—and despite the risks, I'm helpless to resist.

We're stealing touches, stealing moments, and stealing away at night. But our chemical connection is quickly becoming dangerously combustive, putting not only my heart, but Matt's chance at the presidency on the line.

Winning will take everything. Walking away will be the hardest thing of all.

It’s so hard to find love, and sometimes when you do, the other person doesn’t love you back or perhaps it wasn’t the right time. What is even harder, is that when you DO find that love and you ARE loved back, every moment should be filled with “butterfly in your stomach” kind of moments. Your relationship should be visible to the outside world, saying “We’re a couple and we’re in love.” Everything should be easy. But not in this case. Charlotte and Matt are in love with each other, but they can’t show the world this connection they have. Because there is something beyond them. Something more important than being together and being in love. Matt is running for the President of the United States and because of that, their love can’t last. He has to dedicate his love and life to the people in the world. The people have to come first.

Charlotte Wells is a senator’s daughter. She grew up loving her country and ever since she met President Hamilton (Matt’s father) when she was eleven, she knew what she wanted…she wanted to make a difference, do something that makes her country better. Along with meeting President Hamilton, she also met his son, Matt. She immediately had a crush on him and at that age she knew she’d be by his side if he ever ran for president..she even told him so. Years later, Matt Hamilton decided that his country needed a change, so he announced his run for Presidency. He remembered meeting Charlotte (how could he forget?) and he also remembered her offer to help him if he ever ran, so at the top of his “to do list” was getting her to join his campaign.

The attraction between them is overwhelming and instant. They feel for each other, but their love is forbidden, they can’t jeopardize the chance at the presidency and Charlotte can’t put her heart in danger. Winning is losing for them as a couple, but she is determined to get him in the White House because he’s passionate and driven about fixing the country. She knows he can make a change.

Matt Hamilton is amazing, kind, true to his ideas and very admirable (something odd in politics) and of course sexy as h*ll. *wink* (also rare in politics) Charlotte Wells is a remarkable woman…my new fave heroine. She’s mature, intelligent and selfless. You will fall for these two in the very first page and they will steal your heart.

I really love Katy Evans’ books. I’m completely captivated by her writing, the way she tells her story. I get so mesmerized by all these beautiful characters she creates. She is one of my MUST READ authors. Whether you’re new to her or not, you will love this book. This is book one of this duet. Book two COMMANDER IN CHIEF is expected to release January 11th 2017. I vote for Matt, but most of all I vote for Katy Evans <3
