Don't you just hate it when someone destroys all your carefully made plans?

I mean, I had goals: college to graduate in one semester, a future I was working hard to reach, and an image of myself I wanted the world to see. My life was stacked into these precisely placed blocks. But then Colton Gamble came along and knocked them all askew.

I hated how he messed everything up, how he could hog all my attention whenever he was around, how he made my pulse quicken--but only because he ticked me off...not because I was attracted to him. Oh! And I hated how he knew how attractive he was too, the shallow, full of himself, doesn't take no for an answer, too-flirty, too cocky, extremely irritating jerk.

The boy had all the qualities that turned me off. Or so I thought.

One night he wasn't quite the brainless, over-confident jerk I usually took him for.

One night, he took care of me when I was at my lowest. He opened up to me and made me open up to him.

Now I'm learning maybe he's not what I first thought he was. And maybe I'M not what I first thought I was. Maybe it’s okay to rearrange a couple of my perfectly set blocks. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll stop worrying about what I’m afraid everyone else will think and finally reach for something I really want. It’s possible some of my plans need to be destroyed, and Colton Gamble is exactly the kind of mess I need in my life.

What do you think? Should I give him a try?

Desperately seeking your advice,
Julianna Radcliffe

WOW. I can’t believe we have reached the end this captivating series, and the last book was just like the others, unique, heartwarming and sexy and of course we can’t forget funny.
Linda Kage always delivers the best of the best, with stories so full of heart that they capture your very soul.

I’m amaze with what Linda did to this story. If you have followed the series then will you think this is just Colton finding his happy ending but is so much more than that. Linda combines the elements of the wrongs of society and the story becomes an experience of not just romance but the struggles we face when we are different in other people’s eyes.

OHMY Colton Gamble! he was always the most charming of the other two Gambles and now all grown up we finally get to meet the boy behind the charm. Colton now a man struggling with some demons of the past that still hunting him, so his charming and ‘not a care in the world’ attitude is like a mask so people don’t get close see that past that he hasn’t let go of. When he met Julianna in Priceless it show how Julianna somehow turned his world upside down. They had chemistry at first sight, and is not long after Colton challenges that chemistry between them.

OH DEAR Jualianna! she’s special you know. I think she was the most stubborn heroine of all the series. I struggled with wanting to slap her most of the time BUT she won me over. Poor Jualianna had too many walls up to protect herself, she had not an easy past and she struggles with being a woman of color. She accepts herself tho, she strong and confident as they come but she doesn’t only struggle with society but also with her family. Although she gives in to her chemistry with Colton is not long after things becomes messy. But at the end Colton breaks all her walls and she gets the life and peace she deserves but they both have to fight hard for it.

There are some details i’m leaving behind of course, i don’t want to give much of the story away.

Colton and Jualinna have a love like no other, frustrating, captivating fun and real. I loved how Linda took all my FEELS and did whatever she wanted with them. Having all my lovely forbidden gang so grown up and with babies, it made my heart melt. As a fan of the series i couldn’t ask for a better conclusion to the series. IS PERFECT.

For those that haven’t read any book of the series, Consolation Prize can be read as a standalone but there are parts that you’ll wish to know some extra details into the story so i recommend you to read Priceless (Boook #8) first.

I really hope this is not the end of this series just yet. All the characters of this series became like a family to me, my love for them is simply something i can’t put in words but Linda knows how much. LOL

So, don’t wait any longer to read this amazing book and one click now!! Consolation Prize is one of my best reads of 2016.
