From New York Times bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones comes a brand new gripping and provocative novel that ties into her bestselling Careless Whispers and Inside Out series. You can enjoy this as a standalone, but fans of Careless Whispers and Inside Out will get an exciting glimpse of who Ella really is and some of the secrets she's been hiding from everyone she knows.

Desperate to pay for law school, Skye tries her hand at auction hunting with her friend Ella, only to find a poker chip and a note leading to an offsite locker. The next thing she knows, Jason “Red Bull” Wise—a famous, millionaire poker player—is at her door, accusing her of blackmail. Innocent, she swears he’s wrong. He rolls the dice and believes her, impulsively inviting her along to Las Vegas. And remarkably, cautious Skye takes a risk, finding herself seduced by this dangerously alluring man, on his private jet, and finally living life to the fullest. But there is more than passion waiting for Skye and Jason in Vegas when blackmail takes a deadly turn.

Audiobook Review: 4,5 Stars

Performance five-stars Story four-stars

What did you like best about this story?

Behind Closed Doors is the kind of story that had me on edge the entire time! I loved the mystery, the intrigue, the romance, oh yes, especially the romance, and of course, the erotism in this book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I’m between Jason and Skye. They both were badasses in their own ways. She was determined, independent and had her walls for a very good reason. He on the other hand, was focused, smart and very guarded, for his own reasons too. And together, they were explosive. I loved their chemistry, how their feelings were growing despite the dangerous situation they were in and most of all, how they could find a way to trust each other in order to get over with this crazy situation they were in.

What about Elizabeth Louise’s performance did you like?

Elizabeth did an amazing job, as always #FavNarrator She has a versatile voice, smooth and soft for Skye and strong and male for Jason. Elizabeth was capable of bringing characters to life and recreating action scenes with great detail, making the listening a better than just reading the book. My favorite part of Elizabeth’s narration is how well she can differentiate the various voices and personalities in the story.

If you could sum up Behind Closed Doors in three words, what would they be?

Mysterious, Sexy and Romantic.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book. I loved Ella—From Careless Whispers Series—in this book. At first I thought she was only be at the beginning but her involvement in the story was very important.

As for the plot in this book… It was really good. I was hooked from the beginning but there was a moment around 60% that I got distracted and I got lost. I had to repeat around 3 chapters because I didn’t know what happened :O But when I caught up again, everything was good and I loved it how everything wound up, even though I figured it out who was behind the blackmail.

All in all, Behind Closed Doors is a great story, perfecto for erotica, suspense and romance readers. Lisa Renee Jones created a new addictive story and I can’t wait to know what comes next in this spin off series.
