Can two hearts entwined by hardship move on to form a healthy bond? From the author of His to Love and His to Protect, this tender, bittersweet romance brings together a man who loses everything—and a woman with everything to give.

Chelsea Dwyer arrives home from her job at the middle-school library in Latham Hills, Michigan, expecting another quiet evening—until she hears the screams for help through her living room window. As the first witness to a terrible accident involving two local students, Chelsea doesn’t anticipate how her own life will be irrevocably changed by the father of one of the boys. In the wake of tragedy, she’s the only one who seems to understand his grief. Chelsea’s a survivor, too—and she knows that there are brighter days ahead.

As a single father, Aidan Deveraux worked his entire life to provide a stable home for his son, Derrick. Without him, Aidan feels the deepest despair imaginable. The one thing that keeps him going is his connection with the woman who tried to save his son. Hard as he tries, Aidan just can’t stay away. Chelsea’s warm embrace is the comforting solace he desperately craves—and it doesn’t hurt that Aidan had noticed the beautiful librarian and wanted to ask her out for years. Now that she’s in his life, he doesn’t ever want to let go.

Book Review: 4 stars

Have you ever read a book that which made you cry so much that you had to put down the book and stop reading for awhile? Well, if you haven’t, then this book will change that for you.

His to Cherish is the third part in the Fireside series and without doubt is, not only the most emotional, real and soul-reaching book out of the three, but also one of the most precious books I have read so far. This time, the story focuses on Aidan and Chelsea, the two members of the Fireside squad who were eye-flirting each other for too long. But soon this is about to change with a way that no one ever predicted or better, ever wishes for. And who is the outer master of creating unbelievable circumstances than Life? The irony is that through the total tragedy a wonderful love story bloomed.

Aidan and everyone around him never would have guessed how upside down their lives were gonna turn in the blink of an eye. For more than the 60% of the book I was constantly with tears on my eyes. I even had to stop and put it down around the 50% because my emotions were super charged and I was this closed to burst into tears. From the other side, Chelsea had me constantly on my toes because of her emotional up and downs. Although, her personality and her special characteristics had me warned up to her instantly. The way she was dealing with life and the other people considering her past experiences made her even more intriguing to my eyes and undoubtedly in the eyes of Aidan. And the way they bonded,  grew into each other and got over their fears together only incredible could be described.

Stacey Lynn once again wrote the perfect sequel of a series that overflows with love, friendship, strength and reality. But I have to admit that I craved more Aidan’s POVs because his mind was working with different speeds and what he was going through changed his dealing mechanisms. And after she gave us the most heart-gripping stories of this team, now it’s time to write the most entertaining story of a couple who have decorated the other stories with moments of fun.
