*heart* Brilliantly executed perfection *heart*
The BEST work L.J. Shen has written so far! I can’t even begin to explain how much I LOVED this story and it took a piece of my soul and I gave it away gladly. I am so so so happy for that first teaser of her first book Sparrow that had me drawn to her and I couldn’t have made a better buy than one clicking that baby home….and from that day on. The rest is history really. I am hooked and hooked for life I will remain.
The way this incredibly talented and so freaking beautiful (Opps better not let hubs see this, he might think I swing the other way too *LOL*) woman writes is so addictive and captivating. It will grab your soul and squeeze it tightly almost pushing you off the edge just to release it and make it rain kittens and puppies.
Ok….the story…
First of all, YOU ALL NEED TO READ THIS!!!

It simply has it ALL!
From the first page to the last one it gets your attention and keeps it through the whole book. It’s being told from Vicious and Emelia’s point of views and it also takes us back to their past to be able to connect all the dots that has shaped their present. The book is the first on in the Sinner’s series but there is no cliffhanger, the ending is the most perfectly imaginable for this couple. We met Vicious in L.J. Shen’s novella Defy (which is also a MUST read) and I would recommend to read it before this book to get to know the sexiest, baldest, FHH’s my mind knows of.

So ever since that novella I have been craving this bad boy and all the wait turned out to be more than worth it….every teaser that stabbed me right in the heart made it beat with full force again. It has all the elements for a blockbuster kind of success for my taste. There are secrets, undeniable tension, love/hate kind of relationship between these two and don’t even get me started on all the hotness going on *running back to re-read it all*

Another thing had I adored was to read about Dean, Trent and Jamie. I was taking what was offered and now I can’t seem to stop and crave for more and more and more. *Starting to count all over again in wait for the next book about these characters* For big part of the book Vicious was true to his name, the biggest A-hole ever written and yet he consumed me completely even though I wanted to slap that mother*****r more times than I can count but in the end my heart and soul bleed and cried for him. I wanted to take him in my arms and make it all better.

Everything about this was a pure pleasure to read and I feel such great satisfaction. What a perfect last read of 2016. I might just read some of it again tomorrow on January 1, 2017 because I hope all future books I read in the New Year will be as good as this one. Like Tina Turner would have said “SIMPLY THE BEST, FORGET ABOUT ALL THE REST” OK fine, I might have changed it a bit 😉
