The night I met Drew Jagger, he'd just broken into my new Park Avenue office.
I dialed 9-1-1 before proceeding to attack him with my fancy new Krav Maga skills.
He quickly restrained me, then chuckled, finding my attempted assault amusing.

Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant.
Only, turned out, he wasn't an intruder at all.

Drew was the rightful occupant of my new office. He'd been on vacation while his posh space was renovated.
Which was how a scammer got away with leasing me office space that wasn't really available for rent.
I was swindled out of ten grand.

The next day, after hours at the police station, Drew took pity on me and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. In exchange for answering his phones while his secretary was out, he'd let me stay until I found a new place.
I probably should have acted grateful and kept my mouth shut when I overheard the advice he was spewing to his clients. But I couldn't help giving him a piece of my mind.
I never expected my body to react every time we argued. Especially when that was all we seemed to be able to do.

The two of us were complete opposites. Drew was a bitter, angry, gorgeous-as-all-hell, destroyer of relationships. And my job was to help people save their marriages.
The only thing the two of us had in common was the space we were sharing.
And an attraction that was getting harder to deny by the day.

Book Review: 5+++ Stars

You’re reading my review because I’m guessing you’re just like me. After seeing the appealing cover and reading the captivating blurb, you were hooked. In EGOMANIAC, you can find love in the least expected of ways and Vi Keeland captured that perfectly. Vi has become a referent when we talk about romance, hilarious moments, steamy scenes, love stories and happy endings. When you think you have already read her best book, she writes another one EVEN better. She brings the humor, the sass, and the steam, all in one extremely amazing read. Vi’s words are so addictive that once you read the first page you know you won’t be able to put the book down once you start it.

Drew Jagger is a family attorney, divorce attorney to be more specific. He had a failed marriage and now he doesn’t believe in love anymore. He makes his living by divorcing couples and getting them the best settlements.

Emerie Rose is a psychologist, she’s a marriage counselor to be specific. She loves to help her clients to work out their relationships. She believes in love and she’s kinda naive too. So when she moved to New York from Oklahoma, she got a great deal at renting. It’s an amazing office in one of the best places in Park Avenue. But when she found out that she was scammed and that the real landlord was no other than the “egomaniac”, Drew Jagger, she learned real fast just how naïve she is.

Drew & Emerie are like water and oil, they don’t mix well and because of that, they argue ALL. THE. TIME. But the constant bickering turns into something else. They have this special connection, this undeniable attraction that promises sexy, steamy and hot encounters.

Drew is so egomaniac. He knows how handsome he is and how good he is with women and he doesn’t mind bragging about his “skills” in the s*x department. Emerie is a love believer, she believes in true love and she’s determined in make Drew believe in relationships as well.

What started out as a friendship could potentially be more, but will Drew be able to believe in love once again even though he’s not interesting in a relationship? Will Emerie be able to have sacrifice her beliefs and do the “friends with benefit” type of relationship?

I am so happy that I got to read this amazing book. One of the best reads for this year for sure. I ABSOLUTELY loved it! What I enjoyed most was that this story had me itching with anticipation. These two main characters don’t jump into bed right away, there was a slow build, they started as friends, flirt with each other, and then opposites collide and BAM!!! Drew has stolen my heart with his egomaniac ways. Emerie is the perfect heroine. She’s smart, funny and willing to love. Both will capture you from page one and you will want to stay in their world for good. I need more books like this in my life, and of course, I need more Drew Jagger in my life too!
