Heartbreakingly Beautiful Story
Lilly and Trevin have been best friends since they were eight years old. They only got closer and closer to each other and always stood by one another no matter what. Lilly was Trevin’s anchor and everything positive left in his life, the light in his darkness. So when he finally got the chance of a lifetime to do something he loved and was great at, there was no way of saying no. She helped him reach his dream and he left her behind to chase it and try out his luck. Everything would be the same, nothing was supposed to change only it did and none of them were prepared for that and two hearts and two souls were now on the line. What would win? The past or the future?!
“You’ll always be my gravity.
You’re what I need to stay grounded, no matter where I go, no matter what happens.
Remember that. Only you.”
You know how some books hit you hard? How they stay with you? Straight in the heart like a sharp dagger that was draining the living life out of you but you still wanted more of it? That’s exactly how I feel after finishing this amazing story that touched my heart so much I don’t know what to do with myself right now.
“No matter what you say, we’ll never be done.
I’ll fight for you, for us I’ll pray.
In my heart there’s no other way.”
The story was perfection in sight from the very first chapter to the very last page. I was on a emotional rollercoaster more or less the whole time and there were situations that were almost unbearable. I found myself aching inside and out and I literally pushed my head into my pillow and tried to compose myself and soothe the pain my heart.
“Go away, Trev. It’s time to let me go, remember?
Stop it! I hold her face between my hands.
No it was NEVER time to let you go.”
I simply loved everything about this story!!!! It’s not a typical book filled with hot and intense sex that rock your world, this is on a completely different level and so much more deeper and I miss it already. Lilly and Trev are so perfect together but even when they are apart they still have that unbreakable bound that ties them to each other forever. They are without any doubt in my mind two of my absolute characters of all times!
“I love you Lillies. I’ve always loved you and I always will.
I love you too, Trev, but we’ve already proven that love isn’t enough.”
Lauren Runow definitely outdid herself with this book and I applaud her for that. Her finest work so far and I feel so proud of her and am eager and hopeful to see what comes next. I feel honored to have had the chance to read this book early and will re-read it again and nag all my friends about it until they too experience what I have.
This book can’t get a 5 star rating because that wouldn’t do it justice. Highly recommended to everyone who loves a great story, well developed characters and quality writing at its best. Nothing to lose and everything to win!
