A new standalone romance from Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author Ilsa Madden-Mills...

They say nothing compares to your first kiss,
But our first kiss was orchestrated for an audience.
Our second kiss…that one was REAL.
He cradled my face like he was terrified he’d f*ck it up.
He stared into my eyes until the air buzzed.
Soft and slow, full of sighs and little laughs,
He inhaled me like I was the finest Belgian chocolate,
And he'd never get another piece.
A nip of his teeth, his hand at my waist...
And I was lost.
I forgot he was paying me to be his fake fiancée.
I forgot we weren’t REAL.
Our kiss was pure magic, and before you laugh and say those kinds of kisses don’t exist…
Then you’ve never touched lips with Max Kent, the hottest quarterback in college history.

Get ready for breathtaking kisses, dreamy football players, a heroine who yearns for the guy she can't have, and a hero who will do anything for the girl he loves...

I didn’t know how much I missed Ilsa Madden-Mills’ books until I started reading FAKE FIANCÉE. I was missing her writing, her prose, she has this magical gift to make us fall for her stories and her amazing characters from page one. This is a lovely story about FATE, about FINDING each other, about LOVE at first sight. Well, of course, we have sports too and a HOT quarterback *winks*. Just check out that alluring cover and there is no reason to not compelled to read it.

Max Kent is a quarterback and a star at Leland University. He is also one of the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy, but he needs to change his image, to prove that he is focused on the team, on his studies and out of trouble. So being surrounded by groupies doesn’t help his image at all. He needs people to see him in a different light. To see that he’s changed. Well fate, in the form of a drunk groupie crashing into his new, sweet neighbors vehicle, has his new neighbor knocking on his door. He feels an instant connection with her. Like he’s met her before. On a whim, he offers a solution to their situation. He’ll pay some of the expenses for the damage done to her car, if she pretends to be his fake girlfriend.

Sunny Blaine never expected to have THAT kind of proposal when she knocked at her new, HOT neighbor’s door. She’s done her best to avoid the football players because she knows of their reputations and she DEFINITELY knows about his reputation. But he was very persuasive and it was hard to say no, so she accepted. She also had a difficult time saying no because this wasn’t the first car accident that brought them together…they were connected from years ago.

What happens when she realizes she wants more but she knows what they have is fake?

What happens when both realize they have met each other three years ago?

Everything happens for a reason and fate brought them back together, but they have issues to work out. Sunny thinks that Max only cares about his career and to win the Heisman. Max can’t think about falling for Sunny. He needs to focus on his team and winning. Will he be able to realize he has already fallen for her?

This was a quick read. Max and Sunny’s story was lovely and you will fall for them and be intrigued by them throughout the whole novel. I highly recommend it.
