Rule #1: Do not vote for Mr. Popular.
Rule #2: Do not talk to Mr. Popular.
Rule #3: (Most importantly, and above all) Do not fall for Mr. Popular...Liam 'Mr. Popular' Carter will always be the closest thing to the "walking plague" in my eyes. His cockiness seeps through his every move, and no matter how many state championships he wins with the basketball team, he will forever be a "loss" to me.
Because he's my older brother's best friend, I'm forced to tolerate him, and he's forced to tolerate me. In fact, unless my brother is around, we happily ignore each other every chance we get.
It wasn't always this way, though...
Several summers ago, we both attended the same summer camp. A place we returned to year after year. We became friends--close friends, but right when I thought he could possibly turn into my everything, he made it clear that what we had was nothing.
Now that's he's a senior, and I only have to deal with him for one more year, I've vowed to keep repeating the same set of rules to myself. Especially since he seems so hell-bent on wanting to talk to me for some reason, and especially since he seems to be staring at me every time we're in the same room together...
Rule #4: Always follow rules #1-3...
Rule #5: (OMG what the hell are you doing?) Do not KISS Mr. Popular...

Book Review: 5 stars
MR POPULAR is a book about second chance/ friends-to-lovers romance or maybe I should say enemies-to-lovers story. Because it’s a fact that Mariah and Liam can’t be friends. They have history together, they have to be lovers or not friends at all. I enjoyed this book so much! It’s my first novel by Nicole London and I’ll make sure it won’t be the last.
Mariah Dawson has known Liam Carter forever. He is the “guy next door” (literally, he is her neighbor), her brother’s (Zach Dawson) best friend, so she’s always been known as “Zach’s little sister”, so Liam sees her as his little sister… until one summer that he appears to feel differently for her, but sadly breaks her heart too. Ever since that incident at summer camp, Mariah has hated “Mr. Popular” (aka Liam). She’s trying her best to avoid him, which is an exhausting thing to do, considering that she now shares classes with him and sees him in her house every day.
Liam is so popular in high school, he is a star on his basketball team. He has “Miss Popular” with him by his side, but he’s not interesting in those things, he has his eyes set on his best friend’s little sister and he will try to make Mariah his friend again. All he has to do is prove that they can be friends.
But what if Mariah and Liam end what they started back in summer camp? How Zach will take the information that his best friend is after her baby sister? He is so protective about her. Is it worth it for Liam to lose his best friend in exchange for his love for Mariah?
I loved Nicole London’s writing. It was fluent, well paced and the development of the characters and story was amazing. I also loved the secondary characters…I hope we can have a book about Zach, he needs to find his significant other, maybe Kelsey (Mariah’s best friend). *lol* I hope Nicole can gives us more of these amazing characters she has created. Highly recommended!!!
