Tell me a secret
A sentence that we hear a lot in this book and along the way becomes on of the characteristics of this couple. Every time it’s been said, there is a change in the atmosphere. It becomes more electrified; more emotional; more sensual. And it’s always the prologue of a big revelation! How could I not adore these 4 magic words, huh?
The beginning of us. The start. And already, I never want to find our end.
What I Need is the fifth installment in the Alabama Summer series whose love stories and couples belong to the AMAZEBALLS planet! Each and every one is a heartbreaker you never want to stop loving. This time the heartbreaker is the couple CJ + Riley. For those who have read and the rest books of the series you already know who these people are. But for those who haven’t I will give you the connection: CJ Tully is a colleague of Reed whose sister is Riley. Reed and Beth are the couple from the third book, When I Fall, who now, in this book, are getting married. And that’s where the crime scene happened. And as my dearest CJ would say, “Did I just used a cop reference?”. Oh hell yeah, I did!
W’re lovers who became friends who became… everything.
The story goes a bit like this. CJ and Riley are paired up for the wedding but they don’t know each other. But don’t worry! They get past that stage in record time. Some tequila shots here, some powerful magnetic forces there, some awaking of the animal instincts a bit further , they go from 0 to 100 in less than a blink of an eye. But neither could expect not only the significance of what they did in that weekend but also why life got them together in the first place. Ans damn is Life isn’t a master in matchmaking! Although, I have to say a few more details for these two characters because they more than deserve it.
CJ Tully, as I said at the start, he is a cop and works with Reed, Riley’s brother. He has the “small” reputation of a manwhore and a player. But his treasure is hiding deep inside him, locked very good in a chest whose key has only one person on this planet Earth. Even if she doesn’t know it yet. From the other side, Riley Tennyson is a young student who tries to discover herself and her wants. And who is in a relationship. She is a shy, sweet and kind soul who hides underneath her skin, deep in her soul, a scorching fire and desires that are waiting the right time to be freed. But after their weekend together, no one can deny the intense chemistry and the epic love which has been set in motion. And the noise it will create the minute it finds its target and explodes.

Every scene was greater from the other, making impossible to choose the best. The sex scenes? Steamy, Hot and Temperature-Rising don’t make them justice. The argument scenes? Intense all the way and back. The scenes with the love confessions and the sweet words? Panties-dropping and swooning cover only the 1/10 of them. Although, even if I said that I couldn’t choose the best scene, there is one specific that tagged all my heart strings and then some more and has stuck in my head and denies to let room for another. And what that scene is? Of course, the stadium scene. I mean! D A A A A A M N!!! When do we order for a “CJ TULLY” replica? Because I need one… yesterday. The guy isn’t just an orgasm machine and a beast of muscles, he is more than anything a “big beastly teddy bear” as his girl described him perfectly at some point. The sweetness, love and worshipness he is capable of, can melt even the most difficult female reader. He is simply the WHOLE FREAKING PACKAGE! If you know what I mean…. 😉 Just kidding! Not.
Once again J. Daniels sweeps me off my feet and leaves me in the air. Once again she creates a couple and a love story that claimed all of me. Seriously, this woman is impossible to create something that will be less than addicting. She just can’t. Her pen isn’t designed for writing non-phenomenal stories. Every book of hers wraps around you its own atmosphere and transfers you into a world where the love, friendship and the epic characters thrive. The unfolding her stories follow is beyond intriguing and from the beginning they tag you along.
