Kingsley. Søren. A cabin in the woods...

Kingsley Edge thought he was being driven to the airport. He never expected he'd be kidnapped and relocated to a cabin in The Middle of Nowhere, Maine to help Søren celebrate his birthday. But it's not quite the sexy party Kingsley hoped for. Søren has been keeping a secret from Kingsley for several years and it's finally time to confess. But will Kingsley absolve his priestly lover of his sins or will this winter be the coldest one yet?

This free novella takes place the December before the events of The Virgin and The Queen (the third and fourth books in The Original Sinners: The White Years series from Harlequin’s Mira Books).

To avoid spoilers, the reader should complete the series through The Queen before starting The Scent of Winter.

First of all… I miss Tiffany…I miss our sinners….I miss how they make me feel.

I really took my time with this novella and once I started reading it felt like that song of Celine Dion’s “It’s all coming back to me now” Our sinners always get some special emotion moved within me that’s reserved for them and them only! *sighing peacefully*

“No, Sören said. You are not allowed. You are not allowed to get lost unless I want to lose you.
You aren’t allowed to be found, unless it’s me doing the finding.
And the only way you’re allowed to die is if I choose to kill you with my own hands. “

I enjoyed going back to that world more than words can describe. It was blissful magic, pure perfection, everything I never knew I would love and cherish this much. Tiffany is once again at her best, she delivers like we are used to from her. She does not disappoint. Like ever! There is only one thing negative about this novella and that is that it had to end.

“So you had me kidnapped? I did nothing of the sort, Sören said.
I had you shipped to me.
You make me sound like luggage.
Call it special delivery”

Sören and King were so good for my soul and I even cried a tear or two, happy tears that I came across this amazing series and characters that will stay with me forever and always be my absolute favorite series till the end of days. I cried, I smiled, I laughed. And just thinking back of it as of writing this review a smile appears on my face and all the love I feel for these two is melting my heart.

“Don’t tell her. Let her think you came to her first.
I know you love me. I don’t need you to hurt her to prove that to me.
I love her too.”

I loved it and enjoyed every word of it. This whole series Original Series (Red + White years) is HIGHLY recommended. If you don’t know of it yet do yourselves a favor and go read it and prepare to get you heart stolen, your soul beaten. Prepare to become someone else for a while.
