We fell in love on a beach, got married in paradise, and I carried her off into the sunset. It should have been perfect, but saying “I do” doesn’t guarantee a happily-ever-after.

Two years later, I barely recognize either of us behind the walls we’ve built.

It’s time to bring it full circle. Back to a tropical paradise. Back to find out if we can still make this work.

I’m not willing to give her up, but to save us, I have to risk everything.

Two damaged people.

Countless secrets.

The fight of our lives.

We might be broken, but we’re not done.

Book Review: 4 stars

Two people in love who built too many walls and separated themselves from each other. Two people hiding too many secrets trying to protect the other person but it’s only causing harm. Two broken people trying to find their way back and save their marriage that neither one of them is willing to give up on without one last try for happiness.

Will they find their way back or will they break apart even more?

The book is a standalone, told from Dane and Kat’s POV. Writing is easy to follow and story line is very intriguing and inviting. I have read many books by this author but I must say this one really caught me in surprise here. It turned out to be different from her previous work and even if I loved and enjoyed those too this one hit a soft spot for me, because I just LOVE LOVE LOVE that perfect mix of action, love, heartbreak.

At the first half of the book I was feeling the heartbreak, pain but also love radiating from Dane and Kat so much that my own heart was getting hurt along the way. And then we have their “secrets” that were exposed (I won’t tell you when *wink*), but let’s just say when I want something I want it like yesterday *laughing* My patience is so far far far below zero and I wanted to know it all right away but the author choose perfect moments for the secrets to come out and complete the story.

The only reason I didn’t give this book 5 stars was that I wished for more action between Dane and Kat and see how they grew as characters and showed their love some more and that the BOOM part came a bit late and the ending of the story felt rushed. That could have been dragged out some more and gotten more death.

I loved the cover for the book.
I loved the story behind it.
I loved the characters and their chemistry.
I loved the location set for this story.

Well worth both time and money. Recommendable.
