Book Review: 4 “Hollywood” stars!!
I never expected a crazy-adorable 5-year-old little girl to mark so strongly the beginning of my trip in CD Reiss’s world which is expected to be spectacular. And this first time will definitely be unforgettable.
Bombshell is the first book in Reiss’s brand new series, Hollywood A-List, which speaks for… what else? Hollywood stars and their love stories. The start make an amazing couple with an even more amazing little creature who makes everything better. Ladies & gentlemen, I give you Brad Sinclair, Cara DuMont aaaaaaaand….. Miss Nicole!!!! YAY!! So, here’s how this trio is linked: Brad is a Hollywood actor who finds out he has a 5-year-old daughter which leads him to “hire” Cara as her nanny. The thing is pretty obvious which story lane has already gone down to but the real thing is always better than the first impressions.
Nicole made me want to do better and Cara made me want to prove it.
My first time as a CD REISS reader couldn’t be more perfect and successful. This story never stopped getting better and better and better and then even more better. Every single character with its own unique personality and aura made this book to be one the most cherishing of this year.
From where really to start with it. From the guy who is undoubtedly talented but what hides underneath and how damn incredible and swooning is with his daughter is what makes him stand out? From the woman whom Life dealt a pretty dark card but she kept doing what filled her with beautiful feelings until she came face to face with her biggest dream? Or the perfect little devil in the form of a 5-year-old angel who no matter what what she did, you always ended up with a ear-splittling grin all over your face? Or maybe all the other characters that every time they were putting the correct thing in the way so this amazing family could add another brick at their new-life wall?
He needed me to fill his empty places and in letting me do that, he filled mine.
The chemistry that was flowing between Cara and Brad is pretty undeniable and what made me fall more in love for them is the fact that each was clearly the perfect missing piece of the other. You can’t really miss it. The way they interact and understand each other’s problems is the only proof you need. And if that’s not enough, lil Nicole close and seal the deal FOR GOOD! Her extremelly vibrant personality and her spellbounding mind are the two another pieces that completes this meant-to-be family.
To say that I was surprised Reiss’s writing is so captivating it would be… a lie. I have heard so many incredible things about this author that it was like I knew her already.
