I was born into British aristocracy, but I’ve made my fortune in Manhattan. New York is now my kingdom.
Back in Britain my family are fighting over who’s the next Duke of Fairfax. The rules say it’s me--if I’m married. It’s not a trade-off worth making. I could never limit myself to just one woman.
Or so I thought until my world is turned upside down. Now, the only way I can save the empire I built is to inherit the title I’ve never wanted-- so I need a wife.
To take my mind off business I need a night that’s all pleasure. I need to bury myself in a stranger.
The skim of Scarlett King’s hair over my body as she bends over . . .
The scrape of her nails across my chest as she screams my name . . .
The bite of her teeth on my shoulder just as we both reach the edge . . .
It all helps me forget.
I just didn’t bargain on finding my one night stand across the boardroom table the next day.
She might be my latest conquest but I have a feeling Scarlett King might just conquer me.
A sexy, standalone romance.

Book Review: 5 stars
I have read all Louise’s books but this book is the one I enjoyed the most. ( I think I say the same in all my reviews after reading her books *lol*) This book kept me with a huge grin the entire time I was reading. There was something about how Louise wrote this book that I loved it the most. Or maybe it was the Sexy Hot Brit guy element that appealed to me more than her usual storylines.
This story is about Ryder Westbury and Scarlett King (we got to meet her in Louise’s “King of Manhattan” book. She is one of Max King’s sisters). After her failed marriage she decided to leave Connecticut and go to Manhattan to start over, now she co-owns a fragrance business, “Cecile Fragrance”, the business has been successful, but Scarlett and her partner have loans that are coming due and now they have to look for an investor. She can do this, she is good at this job and she won’t stop until she gets the right investor to help them.
Ryder Westbury had a lovely childhood, despite the lack of parenting by his dad and mom, his grandfather and grandmother raised him and his sister well. Now that the health of his grandfather, the Duke of Fairfax, is not that well, he needs to decide if he will be the next Duke or if he will lose the title and let his cousin Frederick inherit the title. The estate and title goes to the next married male heir. So in order to be the next Duke, he must be married before his grandfather dies. He’s not interesting in marriage, he has all what he wants thanks to his efforts. He has an investment company “Westbury Group” and he’s wealthy. He worked hard to have what he has and that’s enough for him. But what happens when he finds out he’s at risk of losing his company on top of losing the estate and title. In order to save his company, he must marry.
Now he desperately needs to find a woman, but not any woman, a woman who needs something from him in return, he needs a deal.
Ryder and Scarlett always were meant for each other, since she approached to the bar and met him, they were comfortable with each other, Scarlett makes Ryder see what he was missing all these years, a relationship, the only relationship he knows with a woman was with her grandma and sister, but he realizes that having Scarlett around is comfortable, it feels right. Scarlett is the perfect woman for this predicament he finds himself in. She can gain something from this deal as much as him. Now, he just has to convince her.
I can keep talking about how much I LOVE this book, but I don’t want to ruin for you. Ryder is the most adorable guy, he was like the perfect man without making an effort, he’s natural. If you haven’t already bought this book, I highly recommend to one-click it ASAP!!
