He wasn’t always this rich. This hot. This difficult.
Aaric Christos was a guy who protected me. Wanted me. Maybe even loved me.
That man is gone.
In his place is the most powerful real estate tycoon in the city.
He’s a cold, ruthless, aggressive businessman.
The only one who can save me and my startup from ruin.
It takes every ounce of courage to put my pride aside and ask for his help.
I didn’t expect him to offer it easily.
And he doesn’t.
Instead, he vets me harder than he’s vetted anyone.
Don’t invest in what you don’t know, he says.
He's assessing every piece of me, to the point I've never felt so bare.
I yearn for the boy I once knew, whose touch once craved me.
Putting it all on the line will be worth it, I tell myself.
Until I realize—too late—that some risks are not worth taking.

Katy Evans did it again. Aaric And Bryn’a love story was amazing! It has romance, erotism, drama, and one great HEA!
Aaric and Bryn knew each other when they were teens at high school and he always had a crush on her, but she was never brave enough to actually be with him, but deep down she had a crush on him too. More than a decade later, they met again. She just moved to NYC to start her business and she is looking for investments and Aaric happens to be the right guy for that.
Having Bryn back in Aaric’s life is something he never expected and always wanted. His only passion has always been his business and build his fortune but now he has the right person who he can really live with, completely.
Their relationship moves from acquaintances, to business partners, to lovers and I loved every single moment of it. I loved their conversations about business, life, the past, their loses and their intimate moments. I also loved how much trust and respect Aaric had on Bryn. And how much they admire each other. Literally everything about them.
“Don’t worry about the money. I don’t care if I lose it. I have plenty. Think bigger, Bryn.”
Their relationship wasn’t the usual “second chance” kinda romance. It was more than that. For me, their love was truthful and developed and beautiful, which is why my heart was hurting when the drama happened during the story and then it was full of joy when they found their HEA.
Amazing!! Simply, amazing!!
