He wasn’t always this rich. This hot. This difficult.
Aaric Christos was a guy who protected me. Wanted me. Maybe even loved me.
That man is gone.
In his place is the most powerful real estate tycoon in the city.
He’s a cold, ruthless, aggressive businessman.
The only one who can save me and my startup from ruin.
It takes every ounce of courage to put my pride aside and ask for his help.
I didn’t expect him to offer it easily.
And he doesn’t.
Instead, he vets me harder than he’s vetted anyone.
Don’t invest in what you don’t know, he says.
He's assessing every piece of me, to the point I've never felt so bare.
I yearn for the boy I once knew, whose touch once craved me.
Putting it all on the line will be worth it, I tell myself.
Until I realize—too late—that some risks are not worth taking.

Book Review: 5 “bit” Stars

There is no book that Katy Evans writes that we wouldn’t love, and it’s getting very difficult to pick just one favorite book from her. The author always gives us a sexy, heartwarming story with strong characters that make us fall for them and stay in our hearts forever. Having said that, TYCOON is now my new favorite <3

Bryn Kelly has lost A LOT in her life and she is always thinking about the “what ifs”. Most importantly, she still wonders IF she could have done something differently to not lose ALL the people she cherished in her life. Now, she’s decided to pursuit her new dream, to make her new business idea succeed, so she moves to New York. She has a business project and she needs money for her startup. She has already been rejected by the banks and she has JUST ONE more chance and she’s hoping that the guy who she once knew all those years ago, will be willing to get invested in her dream.

Aaric Christos has had a hard life. He lost his mom when he was young and had to take care of his little brother. He fell in love with a girl, but he knew he wasn’t enough for her, so he decided to leave his home town to be successful and prove himself worthy. He always planned to reach out to her once he was successful, but as they say “life happened” and he never had the chance to find his “little bit” again. Now he invests in profitable businesses and he is considered the most powerful real estate tycoon in the New York city. He is ALL business, he has his life ALL figured out, until the girl from his past appears at his place asking for help.

Bryn & Aaric met at high school back in Austin. Since Aaric met her, he wanted her, and Bryn had feelings for him too, but she was afraid to get hurt. She always wondered what would have happened IF she would have been braver. Aaric hasn’t seen Bryn since he left Austin 12 years ago, and having her now in front of him bring feelings he knew were buried, he wanted to protect her, to help her, to be with her, she just showed up and put his world upside down.

Aaric is the only chance Bryn has, and she knows she will have to work harder to get what she wants, Aaric won’t give her the money so easily and this business partnership will wake up feelings they didn’t know were still there. But a lot has happened in 12 years, and they both have emotional issues to deal with. They both have both lost and they will struggle with their feelings and with stones that life put in their way.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Not only because is written by Katy *wink* but I love that she always gives us different scenarios, different plots. I love that she make us feel ALL THE FEELS and we can relate with the characters on so many levels. If you’re looking for a lovely second chance romance story that will make you laugh, give you happy butterflies and make you kind of emotional, this book is for you. Can’t wait for the next book, which will be Sara (Bryn’s roommate/friend) and Ian’s (new character) story.
