Being young is all about the experiences: the first time you skip school, the first time you fall in love…the first time someone holds a gun to your head.

After being held hostage during a robbery at the local convenience store, seventeen year old Edie finds her attitude about life shattered. Unwilling to put up with the snobbery and bullying at her private school, she enrolls at the local public high school, crossing paths with John. The boy who risked his life to save hers. While Edie’s beginning to run wild, however, John’s just starting to settle down. After years of partying and dealing drugs with his older brother, he’s going straight—getting to class on time, and thinking about the future.

An unlikely bond grows between the two as John keeps Edie out of trouble and helps her broaden her horizons. But when he helps her out with another first—losing her virginity—their friendship gets complicated.

Meanwhile, Edie and John are pulled back into the dangerous world they narrowly escaped. They were lucky to survive the first time, but this time they have more to lose—each other.

Book Review: 4,5 Stars

This is my second book from this author and I have to admit that I asked for it as soon as the HOT cover was released *wink*. Then when I read the blurb and as I LOVE young adult genre, I was all in! I didn’t know what to expect, I mean it’s young adult, but I was expecting teenage drama, hormones on fire, but this story was MORE than that and I really enjoyed it.

TRUST is not the typical teenage love story,  this book starts with a tragic event that will bond these two teenager. They are both survivors and they will help each other to get through life despite what has happened to them.

Edie & John not only shared that scary moment in their lives, but they also learn together how to deal with it. Edie is a unique heroine, she’s the only one capable of understand what’s going on with John and vice versa. They had to build a friendship that not all understand, but they will eventually. John wanted to be a better person, better student. Edie thinks of life differently, she used to be bullied, but none of that really matters after what she has experienced. She just wants to live her life at maximum because she never knows when her life will end. Edie wants to experience more of life, have her first “first times” and John will be with her, protecting her as the hero he is.

This is a lovely, unique young adult story that will hook you from the first page and you won’t want to put this book down until you have finished it. I hope the author writes more books like this, I know this book was different from all that she has wrote.
