Red Hot Pursuit by AL Jackson – 4,5 Stars

When I read the title, my first thought was: Oh, Little Red Riding Hood with the Hunter, nice… But this wasn’t their tale… Red Hot Pursuit was Lil’Redd and Mr. Wolfe story, sexy, steamy, super hot and amazing love story, and I LOOOOVED it so much!!

In this retelling, Lilith Redd and Broderick Wolfe had been negotiating via email the purchase of Mrs. Tindall’s property, for the past six months. Sadly said negotiation hadn’t been good at all. Lilith’s strong, stubborn and determined and Brody’s arrogant, confident and successful, both alpha characters, and while I was reading the first chapters of this novella, I wondered how they would fit together. Equals usually repel each other and that’s what happened while they were only exchanging emails, but when they were finally face to face, their attraction was off the charts and amazingly HOT!! Although their story was written in the stars, what made this book more interesting was the drama around the property negotiation, and I very satisfied with how it wound up.

What I loved the most about this novella: Some quotes that were so naughty and sexy and also very Little Red Riding Hood:

“What I really want to know is if you taste as good as you look.”
A soft gasp pulled into her lungs, and she edged back, watching me with those eyes.
“Why do I get the feeling that, given the chance, you would swallow me whole?”

All in all, Red Hot Pursuit was A.W.E.S.O.M.E!! Read it!!

I loved this drama free novella. The great characters, the funny and romantic story and the love at first sight element that are so characteristic in fairy tales, made me love it so much.
