I’ve discovered Donovan Kincaid’s secret.

It’s dirty and filthy and rich – as dirty and filthy and rich as he is – and it haunts me as much as he ever did.

Even after knowing what I know now, I still want to talk to him, to touch him. But there’s an ocean between us, and I’m not sure it can be crossed with something as easy as a phone call or a plane ride.

Yet I’m willing to try.

He doesn’t know this yet, but this time I’m the one with the power. And maybe – just maybe – if the air were cleared and all our secrets bared, there could still be a chance for us.

And this dirty, filthy thing between us might end up being love after all.

Book Review: 5 stars

five-stars

Story picks of right where we got stranded at the end of book 1. Donovan has left for Japan without any word and no one knows when or if he will return. Sabrina is beyond upset by Donovan’s actions and when she starts searching for clues why he left her just when she thought they were making progress. What she discovers was nothing like she ever could’ve imagined and she should run for the hills as far away from him as possible but instead she wants answers and craves Donovan more than ever.

These two characters are some of the most complexed and broken ones I have read about. Their connection is powerful and unbreakable at the same time as they keep hurting one another. Both of them are full of insecurities and it shows in the most negative ways but they also have their love and passion to lean on and that will conquer in the end.

Laurelin Paige gives us the conclusion of Donovan and Sabrina. The writing is flawless as always by this author and the story is hotter than all fires of hell! I really enjoyed and loved this a lot and the only thing I would have wished for is more of Donovan’s thoughts and a chapter here and there from his POV.

This was a great read for me and I finished this book in couple of hours when I put it all together. I couldn’t out it down, every free moment it was me and DFRL! I can recommend this book without any doubt in my mind, because it is simply just that good.
