From New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting comes a new romance about trading secrets, breaking the rules, and playing for keeps.

My name is Ryan Kingston, and I’m a rule follower. I’ve never been in a fistfight. I always obey the speed limit. I don’t get drunk, and I definitely don’t pick up random women at bars.

Except the night I found out that my whole existence has been a lie.

I got drunk. And picked up a stranger.

Her name was Queenie, and she was everything I’m not: reckless, impulsive, and chaotic. We did shots and traded secrets. And ended up naked at my place.

She left me a thank-you note in the morning and her panties as a parting gift. But no way to contact her.

Six weeks later I’m sitting in the first official team meeting of the season, and there she is. I neglected to mention that I’m the goalie for Seattle’s NHL team.

And Queenie? Turns out she’s the general manager’s daughter.

“She’s a tornado, and half the time I don’t know what to do with her, but still want to get caught up in her vortex.”

“I feel like I’ve finally found my person. The one who won’t try to tame my chaos but will let me live in it and help me balance my impulsiveness with stability. He’s yin and I’m yang. He’s sugar and I’m salt.”

    My top 3 are

Helena Hunting – Her books never fail to make me smile, to cure a bad book slump

Colleen Hoover – she has a range of different books and you never know what you’re going to get next.

LJ Shen – because her books are literally some of the greatest ones I’ve ever read. Love her.

Thanks so much for a chance. I love Kennedy Ryan because her stories are thought provoking and sexy, Kate Canterbary because her books are sexy, fun and emotional, and Jana Aston because her books are funny and an easy escape.

  10. Talia

Love the post and the graphics!

I’m not entering since I’m not from the US, but I’ll still list my top (contemporary) authors.
Kristen Callihan: I love her VIP and sportromance series sooo much. She creates the best swoony heroes, and always adds that little bit more to her stories which makes the characters jump out of the pages.
Cambria Hebert, because to me she is the queen of NA, and also because I love how in all her latest books there’s also a suspense twist which makes the stakes higher and the romance even more pronounced.
Jennifer Armentrout, because whatever genre she writes, she aces it. And because her NA contemporary books were the OG in the genre.
