the Jewish faith, but Ty had chosen to follow none. Dominic wasn’t surprised. Faith in something greater than oneself required humility, kindness, and the need for your fellow man. Ty had none of those redeeming qualities.
The SUV stopped. The hotel was now crawling with U.S. Marshals, FBI, and local cops. There was no reason to keep their operation under wraps any longer. Ty had figured them all out, taken hostages, and was threatening to kill them one at a time. It was now their job to stop Ty and apprehend him, alive if possible. Soon, the entire country would be watching.  Dominic always laid out his plans carefully. Catching Ty was no exception. He had an ace in the whole.
He saw Webster look his way. She was frightened. They all were. He winked and gave her the thumbs up. Her smile was wide and, he was hoping, confident. Execution of orders was of the utmost importance now.

Chapter Eight

Dominic had planned his take down of Ty carefully. In order for it to work, very few deputies were in on his strategy. His inspector always agreed with him when it came to placing an agent undercover. This time it was a no-brainer after seeing Chad Williams all done up in drag. Not bad looking as a guy but as a woman, unbelievable.
“Jesus Christ, Chad. I think God played a real dirty trick on you,” Dominic remarked when he came out in full drag.
“Fuck you, Dominic,” Chad answered then put his hand on his hip, accentuating the slim curves he displayed in the black dress. The black stiletto heels would be a challenge, but Chad was up to it.
“I’ve got to agree with Dom in this instance, man. I’d fuck you,” his inspector said.
Chad leered, and then said, “Try it,” his voice now completely falsetto as he fluttered his false eyelashes.
“Now that’s brilliant,” his inspector said.
“I knew my friggin looks would come in handy one day, but this?” Chad burst out laughing.
Dominic laughed along with him. He knew the man was disgustingly straight and married, with two beautiful daughters. Chad Williams was also a loyal and brave deputy.
It took Chad no less than twenty-four hours to get a job at the whorehouse. Would Ty be suspicious? Even Dominic, after seeing Chad Williams in complete drag, would never guess he was a federal agent. So far, the plan had no holes.
“How easy was it to get hired? Did they even check, you know, to see?” Dominic said, leaning against the wall, his mind there but also on the next step of his plan.
“Nope,” Chad said in a high falsetto voice. “They cater to men who take it any way they can get it. I’ve been asked to move in. They’re giving me a room and a cut of the profits. The so-called madam, another transgender male, said it’s the best deal in Reno as far as whorehouses go. I’m in. Now my question is, how long?”
“Tomorrow. Keep your cool. You’ll need to begin early moving in clothing and a few personal belongings. We’ll set you up today with suitcases containing your belongings to show them you’re moving in. We need to keep them believing for one more day. You’ve done a spectacular job, and I know this wasn’t easy. Tomorrow. We need one more day.”
Chad nodded, and their inspector shook his hand. “I’ve got the best team on this. I just want that son of a bitch back in custody. He’ll be tried for murder and put away for the rest of his life.”
Dominic paced the floor of his hotel room. They were ready, and had to wait before going in. Sometimes you get lucky. The sexual appetites of some men blur their vision and supersede good judgment. The brothel hiring Chad at this time was a prime example.
He’d done his job, sending over the names of all the hostages, what weapons Ty had, and his frame of mind. Tomorrow Chad would be packing and waiting for Dominic’s orders. Dominic wouldn’t let Chad take any initiative; it was all of them or none. But knowing Chad and how he operated, he’d do what he could before the shit hit
