Fate never seems to get it wrong. I’m happy for you. Congratulations, man”
    Klaus smiled. “Thanks, Carlos.”
When he disconnected the call he went in search of Ben. He had to tell him they would be having another guest, a guest that planned on combing through Astrid’s mind in search of information for the council.

Chapter Six

Astrid wandered along the hallway in a daze. He just had his first real kiss, and it was amazing. Even now, just thinking about Klaus’s firm lips on his caused his penis to stiffen. The sensations that flowed from Klaus to him were indescribable. He would have to rank Klaus’s kiss up there with his love for ice cream, only better.
He headed toward Miles’s room, wanting to ask his friend about him being Klaus’s mate and what that meant. As he got closer, he could hear Miles and Trevor talking.
“Do you ever get the feeling we’re a bunch of bottoms among a shitload of tops?
Miles began to giggle. “I would have to agree with that, cuz.”
Astrid stood outside Miles’s door and watched the two men fold the laundry while sitting on the bed. He was curious to what they were talking about. “What are ups and downs?” Astrid asked the two men.
The laughter died, and the room became so quiet a piece of fuzz could have hit the carpet and Astrid would have heard it land.
Miles looked to Trevor, and Trevor turned to him.
“Astrid, sweetie, I didn’t hear you come in,” Miles said as he motioned for him to have a seat on the bed. “Here, have a seat.”
Once he was seated on the bed he looked up at Miles. “So, what are ups and downs?”
“You mean tops and bottoms,” Trevor corrected him.
Miles’s eye shot daggers in Trevor’s direction. “We were talking about, umm…” Miles’s voice trailed off.

“Sex,” Trevor said as he flopped down on the bed. He positioned his arms behind his head and relaxed into the mattress.
“Oh, what about it?” Astrid asked eagerly. Every time someone started to talk about sex, they would stop once they realized he was in the room. He wasn’t a child. He wanted to be part of the conversation, too.
“Nothing,” Miles said in a rush.
“For fuck’s sake,” Trevor shouted to the ceiling as he threw his hands in the air. “You people need to stop treating him like a baby.”
Astrid nodded his agreement. He understood why everyone treated him like he would break at the first sign of distress, but he wouldn’t. And now, more than ever, he wanted to know more about sex. Strange desires burned within him, and he needed to understand it. Astrid needed guidance into the world of making love, because what Lucian made him do wasn’t love.
“You really want to talk about this?” He nodded, and Miles let out a defeated sigh. “See, when two men are together, one usually…one usually…” Miles looked to Trevor for help.
An evil grin played across Trevor’s lips. “Astrid, buddy, basically what he’s trying to say is usually one’s the giver, and one’s the receiver. And let me tell you, the receiving is always so much better.”
Astrid shifted his attention back to Miles for a better explanation.
“What he is trying to say is one man penetrates the other with his penis, and the other opens his body for the invasion. With proper care given, the man taking the penis feels no pain.” Miles started to count his recommendations off on his fingers. “First, lube should always be used, and some stretching done before penetration is a must as well.
Second, being on your hands and knees is a more comfortable way to start out for the partner taking the penis. Third, deep breaths help with the little bit of pain you may feel.”
“Oh my god. You just made my dick shrivel up with that checklist.” Trevor sat forward. “Miles, you make sex sound so clinical and impersonal.” He turned his attention to Astrid. “Astrid, Miles Astrid’s Wish
