when Kennedy opened my door and stood in the door frame. “Hey I am
going over to Ayden’s house. Are you just hanging out at home?” She
looked breathtaking; I could see why Ayden adored her so much. She
had on coral color Juicy sweat pants and a black V neck shirt on
that showed her tan skin. Her blonde hair had been pulled up into a
high pony tail and she had on a little eye liner that make her blue
eyes pop. I had learned not to be jealous over her good looks, but
it had taken me some time.
"No, I have a date with Stefan
tonight; I forgot to tell you on the way home." I brushed my hand
through my hair waiting for a response.
"Just be careful. Text me if you need
anything. Love you!" She hollered, turning to walk down the steps.
I closed my door and turned on my music, time to make myself look
hot!
At 6:15, my phone vibrated. I grabbed
my phone and stared at it with disbelief.

    *Jennifer, long times no
talk.
Why don't you call me when
you get a minute?
    Maybe I can come to
Oklahoma and see you.
    Dad*

    I immediately felt
ill. How in the hell did he know where I
was? I sat down on the edge of my bed and
looked over to my mirror. My hair was down, with loose curls
running through it. I had on more make up than usual, just enough
to make me look classy and I had on a deep purple dress that hugged
my curves tightly tightly.
I looked up at my face again; it was
white as a ghost.
My head was running and I didn't know
where to begin. I only had a semester left of college; could I make
it through before packing up and leaving? I always knew this day
was coming; I had been dreading it. I lay down on my bed and
breathed a heavy sigh, trying to clear my head before Stefan got
here. How was I going to get through this date when my mind was
stuck on my sorry excuse for a father?
Tears began to form in my
eyes; I was trying so hard to fight them back. I heard the doorbell
ring so I quickly wiped the tears away as I went to the front
door. Please let me get through
tonight. I opened the door and saw Stefan's
Mercedes in the drive way. He was standing against it wearing dark
Rock Revival Jeans with white stitching and a white long sleeve
Henley shirt that was tight around his biceps. My knees were weak
from the sight.
I smiled and closed the door, trying
to steady myself so I could walk to his car. He was looking me up
and down, drinking me in. He met me once I stood on the bottom step
and I grabbed his forearm to let him walk me to his car. I got
inside and buckled my seat belt, smoothing my dress down. I felt a
little over dressed, but I wasn't sure what he had planned for us.
I tried to get my father out of my head, but he just kept coming
back.
"You are making it very hard to keep
my hands off of you, Miss. White." He smiled a sly smile while
starting the engine to life. I didn't respond, I was to wound up in
my own thoughts to thank of a comeback. I smiled and returned my
gaze out the window.
We sat silent in the car
just sneaking glances every now and again. After about ten minutes
we pulled up to a little restaurant, The
Coach House , that was surrounded by trees
and bushes and lay pushed backed off the road in a quiet, dark
place. Shit, this place is
expensive. I had never eaten here because
it was way out of my budget, but I heard it was
excellent.
    “ Have you eaten here?”
Stefan turned the ignition off and unbuckled his seat
belt.
    “ No, it’s really
expensive.” He shrugged and got out of the car, walked around to my
door and opened it. I took his hand and climbed out. All the cars
parked in the lot were very luxury vehicles. This much be a hangout for the rich and famous
people.
He held my hand as we walked
inside.
    “ Good evening, welcome to
The Coach House. Do you have a reservation?”
A woman stood behind the podium, about
my age stood. She had blonde hair, pulled up into a high pony tail,
and was dressed in all black, making her appear extremely thin. A
huge smile flashed across her
