He’d done the same to me, giving me too many orgasms to count. And yet, he continued to refuse to give me the ultimate relief no matter how much I begged. “Tenacious bastard.”
“Whoever he is, it sounds like his loss is my gain.” The masculine voice startled me, seemingly coming out of thin air. I swiveled my head, only to find a preppy looking college guy standing to my right.
    “Pardon me?”
“I couldn’t help but notice you seem a little peeved. The way you were mumbling, I figured it had to be a boyfriend.” He paused, flashing me a cocky grin. “Maybe an ex?”
“Very much not an ex,” Morgan growled from behind me.
Oh shit. Morgan had hunted me down at the bookstore only to find me standing here while some random college guy tried to flirt with me—probably because I was kind of dressed like a slut. I turned around, and there he was, glaring over my head.
“I thought we were meeting back at the house later?” I asked, hoping to draw his attention my way before he did something stupid like punch the guy. When he lowered his gaze to glower at me, I couldn’t help but regret the shift in his focus.
“I got worried when I couldn’t reach you.” He tugged my phone from my purse, examining the screen before handing it to me. “Which is odd because it doesn’t look like the battery is dead or the ringer is turned off.”
I cringed, knowing he’d caught me ignoring him. “Yeah, about that—”
“Not here,” he cut me off, wrapping one hand around my arm and leading me out of the store and to his car which was parked illegally at the curb.
“You know what you saw in there was perfectly innocent, right?” I asked after he’d pulled out of the parking lot.
“I’m used to dealing with guys trying to flirt with you, Angel,” he growled. “But what I’m not used to dealing with is you going out dressed like that when I’m not with you. I’m also not accustomed to you neglecting to return my texts or calls.”
“How could you get used to it when you almost never let me out of your sight?” I grumbled.
“Look what happens when I do.”
There wasn’t much I could say in my defense, so I crossed my arms and looked out the window during the rest of the drive home.
“What about my car?” I asked as he slammed the front door behind us.
“I’ll make sure your car gets back to the house, but don’t expect to find the keys in your hand anytime soon. Not after the stunt you just pulled.”
“But I thought it was my car, not one you were just letting me use,” I objected.
“I wouldn’t push me right now, Angel,” he warned. “You’ll drive the car again when I say you can and not a moment earlier.”
“You may be my boss, but you’re not the boss of me outside work,” I snapped, surprising myself as the words left my mouth since his assertiveness was one of the things I liked about him. Usually it drove me crazy in a good way, but today not so much. For some reason, I wanted to poke the beast until he lost the control he always seemed to have around me when I so often found none. As his eyes lit and he stalked towards me, I started to wonder how smart of an idea this was even though I had gotten exactly what I thought I had wanted
“You’re going to regret saying that,” Morgan growled, his gaze traveling down my body and making me feel like I might catch fire from the heat in his stare.
He didn’t stop when he reached me. Instead he just kept moving until he’d backed me against the wall. Caging me in as he rested his hands on either side of my head, his eyes locked on mine. There was a hint of pain in their depths and I shook my head in denial because that wasn’t what I had been trying to accomplish.
“Seems like I’ve let you get away with too much, but don’t let that fool you,” he warned. “I haven’t taken you yet because you weren’t ready for what’s gonna happen when I get you under me.”
My nipples puckered and goosebumps broke out on my
