rubbed her arm. “I’m sure you’ll do fine.”
Did he just try to placate me? She smothered a laugh.
“Thanks. I’ll try.” In the meantime, maybe she should show him just how strong a witch she was. She crossed her legs, narrowly missing his crotch with her knee. A move that wasn’t lost on Tucker. “So do you believe everyone deserves a little payback?”
He narrowed his eyes, suspicions clouding his face. “Why do I feel like I’ve just stepped into a trap?”
She ignored his question. He’d get his answer soon enough. “I think I owe you some payback, darlin’ .”
    “How so?”
“Do you remember our hookup in the hallway?”
    “I’ll never forget it.”
The sincerity behind his words hit her, giving her more incentive to carry out her spell. “You kind of took me by surprise, you know? Then you took control of me.”
He slid his hand off the arm of the chair to skim along her thigh, slipping his fingertips under the hem of her skirt. His touch awakened her nerves, then sent a thrill up her leg. “Are you sorry I did?”
“No, but I think you deserve a little payback of your own.”
“Really?” He swallowed, then ran his tongue over his upper lip.
“I do. And it’s my turn to take over.”
She murmured the magical words under her breath. Tucker tensed up, then let out a yelp as he was yanked into the air. Mari slipped under him, getting out of the way seconds before he landed in the chair.
    “How the hell?”
Not giving him a moment to react, she waved her hands and murmured a binding spell. Tucker’s hands clutched the chair arms. He jerked and yanked his arms, trying to get away, but the hex held, keeping his hands glued to the wood. Growling, he lifted his head to glare at her with amber-rich eyes, then snarled, exposing sharp fangs.
“Hell’s bells!” Mari plopped onto the edge of the bed. “You really are a werewolf. I guess maybe I didn’t truly believe… Wow.”
Tucker growled again as his ears pointed and fur replaced the stubble along his chin.
“Are you changing?” Alarm pierced her, but still couldn’t compete with her curiosity. “Are you still in there?”
Tucker stopped struggling and ducked his head. She sensed the struggle had turned inward with a battle to stay human warring with the animal wanting to be set free.
    “Tucker?”
He lifted his head, his gaze meeting hers. Fur no longer trimmed his jaw line and his eyes had returned to blue, his fangs receding as she watched.
“Uh-uh.” She dropped to her knees in front of him. “No, don’t hide them. I want to see your fangs.”
He renewed his fight to get loose. “What are you up to, Mari?”
“I told you. Payback.” She inched toward him and ran her hands over his thighs. He sucked in a breath, his gaze fixed on her. “Damn, that was something.”
    “I didn’t scare you?”
“Not a bit.” At his surprised expression, she added, “I know. I would’ve thought I’d run like a rabbit.” She rubbed her hands over his thighs again, then gave him a sultry look. “But I think it’s sexy as hell.”
Tucker’s anger was gone from his eyes, replaced by a different kind of predator’s gleam. “How sexy?”
Mari positioned herself between his legs and tugged the button of his jeans open. “This sexy.”

Chapter Five
You Show Me Yours and I’ll Show You Mine
Tucker sucked in a breath, scooted his bottom to the end of the chair, then lifted it higher, allowing Mari to tug his jeans to the floor. She yanked off his shoes, followed them with his jeans and tossed them away. His shaft already stood at attention as she wrapped her hand around him.
“Ooh, I like it when a man comes prepared.”
“If I had it my way, underwear would be banned.”
She stretched over him, her lips only an inch from the tip. “I hope it’s okay that I wore panties.”
“Darlin’, you keep doing what you’re doing and you can wear anything you want. As long as you know it’s gotta come off
