much.”
“Give me another, love. Let go for me,” he ordered, his hips slapping against hers as he pounded into her. He moved one hand down and gave her clit a sharp pinch.
There was no gentle rush of pleasure this time. Instead she slammed into it headlong. Another nearly explosive torrent of pleasure tore through her. She screamed out, her voice hoarse, and clamped down on him like a vise.
In an almost out of body experience, Caroline's vision and hearing went fuzzy. When she came back into herself, she realized that his pace was almost frantic. His movements were erratic as he sought his own release.
She saw the exact moment that his incisors popped out. His eyes shifted toward her neck, then his mouth closed.
“Will it hurt?” she asked him.
He blinked, then finally, registering what she had asked, said, “I don't think so.”
The naked longing in his eyes had Caroline shifting her hair to expose the side of her neck. “Then I want you to bite me.”
Gratitude, relief and something else she couldn't quite define rolled over his tense features as he leaned down. “You're sure?” he asked, his voice raspy.
Wrapping her arms around his back, she said, “Bite me, Magnus. I want you to!”
His incisors sank into her neck and he began to drink. At the first pull of his mouth against her neck, she began to shake at the white-hot sensation surging through her. Vaguely, she felt Magnus release her neck and shudder to his own climax seconds before everything faded into blissful darkness.

Chapter Seven

“Welcome back,” Magnus said, relief flowing through him as he ran his fingertips along her cheekbone. “You scared me, there.”
Caroline blinked drowsily and asked, “Wow. Did I pass out?”
He nodded in confirmation. “For a minute, yeah,” he said, rubbing a thumb over the bite mark with a frown. “I only had a small sip.”
“Not that I don't appreciate you bringing your 'a-game', but I'm pretty sure you fucked me until I passed out, Magnus,” she replied, her lips twitching.
He tried to stop the smug grin from reaching his lips but he could tell that he was unsuccessful. “I'm glad you were lying down, then.”
She rolled her eyes at him in response.
He settled in next to her, his nerves finally settling. The smug grin faded away a moment later when he had a realization. “No shower sex, then.”
“Not unless you install some safety nets,” she teased, snuggling into his side. “Did you worry you took too much blood from me?”
“I've never taken any directly from the source. Not from a human, anyway. The blood banks were already in place by the time I turned. You're my first human lover since the change,” he confessed, feeling vulnerable.
“They'd be lining up around the block if they knew the kind of skills you've got,” she teased. Her expression sobered when she looked up at him and added, “I'm not mad about the whole passing out thing. Honestly, I'm kind of impressed. Maybe I'll see my doctor, though.”
“Excellent call. I'd rather skip that part in the future. It took a bit of the glow off, to be honest,” he admitted, shifting to his side. Propping himself up on his elbow, he traced a finger between the valley of her breasts, enjoying the feel of her petal soft skin.
“Sorry,” she apologized dryly. “I'll do my best not to pass out next time.”
He bit his lip and suppressed a smile when he responded, “See that you do. I mean, raw sexual talent like mine is hard to suppress, but under the circumstances it's best I try.”
She buried her face against his chest. “I'm never going to live this down, am I?”
“It's the sort of thing a man wants to get printed on a t-shirt, love. Could you blame me? In fact, expect a reminder text every morning.”
“As long as I can get the occasional repeat performance, I can accept those terms,” she said, looking up at him with a sleepy smile.
“Occasional? I think we can do better than that,” he chided, his
