something Jason was good at, making her laugh. He was like that class clown in the group who was always making jokes and dirty comments; making people laugh and sometimes making people want to slap him. Sabrina had been able to see right from the start that was all a mask for his pain. Jason’s wife had died in a car accident while he was deployed to Afghanistan. Luckily their son, Jason Jr., had been spending the weekend with his grandmother so he had not lost his whole family.  Like Sabrina, Jason had found out AFTER she had died that his wife had been cheating on him for years; so far back that he had to do a paternity test to confirm that he was Jason’s father. Jason was angry and hurt and grieving all at the same time. Jason’s motto was “Fuck Love. I will never be fooled by it again.” He had convinced himself that all he needed was a warm body in his bed every now and then. He would never be in another relationship.
“I am on my way , relax,” Sabrina texted back to him. Just then she saw her suitcase on the carousel. Finally out of her thoughts, Sabrina realized that there were two men staring at her. Sabrina was still shocked and amazed at what a little makeup and a sexy outfit could do for you. When she had told her best friend, Natalie, that she was finally going to meet Jason she had said, “Grab your coat. We are getting you a makeover.  You will not go and meet that sexy ass solider dressed like you are the first, last and only black member of the Clamppetts from the Beverly Hillbillies.” After a two hour shopping spree and two hours at the salon, plus sized or not, Sabrina felt like a new woman. Well, not completely a new woman; she was still a little insecure about her body. But she knew with clothes on, she was looking good. Her flight attire was a glammed-out sleek and sexy strapless dark denim jumpsuit with four pockets, six gold buttons and skinny leg fit.  She had brought it all together with bold gold accessories and sky-high heels and subtle but sexy makeup. Although all of this would be wasted on Jason since they were just friends. The plan was for Jason to try and fix her up with a friend of his. Grabbing her suitcase and giving a sexy wave to the two men that were still staring at her, Sabrina started toward the door where people were picked up. She sent a text to Jason, “I am coming out.”
As she s tepped out into the warm Texas air, she looked to the right trying to see if she could spot Jason. They had exchanged pictures and talked for hours every day for six months. Although she had only sent him pictures that were above the neck, he had sent her pictures of the fifteen women he had sex with in the time that she had known him and none of them was larger than a size 4. As she was looking around, she suddenly felt lips on her shoulder. Before she knew it, she had turned around and punched Jason in the nose, full blow.
“OUCH!! O H BRINA, IT’S ME!” Jason yelled grabbing his now bleeding nose.
“OH MY GOD!” Sabrina said grabbing her mouth . She dropped her purse and her bag, trying to help Jason. “Oh my God! Jason, I am so sorry! I did not know it was you!” she was saying as Jason was yelling “OUCH” repeatedly and holding his face. Sabrina bent over and grabbed her purse pulling out the Kleenex trying to give them to him. “Hold still, you big baby,” Sabrina said as she got him leaned up against his car.
“Don’t call me a baby , woman, you cold-cocked me!” Jason said. Sabrina was trying to hold back her laughter as Jason shoved two Kleenex up both nostrils and held his head back.
“Who walks up behind a woman that they have never met and kisses her shoulder as an introduction?”
“You are lucky that I did not use some of those self-defense moves I have been learning with Noah!”  She was now laughing so hard there were tears in her eyes.
“Are you laughing at me?” Jason said looking at her.  He still had Kleenex hanging out of his nose.
