Then Master Robert patted her on the head, sat by the fire and picked up the newspaper to read. Rose squatted beside his chair wondering what to make of this action, or lack of it. As she sat there, panic threatened again. “Is he going to leave me like this? What am I supposed to be doing?” Her thoughts were not helping her to calm down and the more agitated she became, the more she squirmed. She roamed around on her hands and knees, puppies swinging, creating odd sensations in her body.
Master Robert was observing her distress. He wondered what she would do and soon she started to nudge him with her paw. Lowering the paper he asked, “What do you need, dog?”
Encouraged, she put both paws on his knees. “Do you want to pee, dog?”
Stunned, Rose stopped cold. First, that wasn’t what she hoped; second, she now needed to pee! He laughed out loud reading clearly what just happened. “Well, dog, I think you can wait – and you’d better not pee on the rug!” She sat on her heels, not knowing what to do next. The strain of this experience was exhausting her, and so she lay down on her side to wait for her Master. “That’s a good dog.” She was now resigned to her place as his pet.
She rested for a few minutes mostly to calm herself from the panic rising again. Then she remembered how she got out of a bad situation the first time Master made her his pet. She rolled back onto her knees and put her paws on his knees. He pretended not to notice this time, so she moved his robe out of her way and gave her Master some doggie snuggles on his leg. She couldn’t see his face, but Master Robert was wearing a big grin. She got a little bolder and rubbed her way up his leg with her head. He sighed and she was encouraged. She pawed his balls and he moved just a bit to allow her better access. The clumsy rubber mitts and the mask prevented any real play, but it was getting her closer to the attention she needed.
He smiled at her and grabbed one of the puppies. “I think you have had enough of that teat,” and yanked it sharply off her nipple making Rose shriek in pain. Before she could breathe, he grabbed the other one and pulled it off; she shrieked again.
