Morgan chuckled when his pupils dilated.

“We’ll have more time for those games later, cupcake. Then we’ll see if you’re still laughing…or begging for mercy.”
She shivered then did as he requested, taking five minutes to blow dry her hair and apply a hint of makeup. The front door closed kind of hard, making more noise than usual since they’d left one of the windows open this afternoon.
With Joe nearby the autumn afternoon had seemed downright steamy.
    Had he left?
“Joe?” Morgan traipsed into the kitchen, barefoot, to investigate.
Joe, Dave, Neil and James circled the countertop while Joe flicked a lighter, finally getting it to catch.
She must have made a small sound when she realized they were putting candles on a birthday cake.
“Oops, I think our secret is out.” James noticed her first.
“Surprise!” The guys pitched into an off-key rendition of the birthday song while Joe finished igniting the colorful wax sticks. Dave held out his hand as Joe tipped the cake toward her.
    “Make a wish.”
“I did, remember?” She grinned at the four men huddled around her. Neil rested his arm on her waist and Dave teased the locks of hair at her nape but she stared straight into the emerald depths of Joe’s eyes.
    “And it already came true.”
Morgan smiled at each of them as her gaze roamed among the four hot friends before she bent to extinguish the flames. “This cake looks familiar.”
“I snagged it from the case downstairs.” Joe looked sheepish for a minute. “Only the best for my girl.”
Her heart stuttered and the other guys receded from her awareness for a moment. “Am I?”
“The best? Absolutely. My girl?” Joe grinned when she nodded. “God, I hope so.”
Without thinking, she launched toward him, crashing into his side and knocking the cake off balance in his hand. Dave tried to avert disaster but the triple-layer, chocolate cake—complete with strawberry filling that would be a bitch to get up without staining the tiles—skid sideways on the doily-covered cardboard round. It smooshed into the palm he’d thrust in the path of doomed dessert.
The motion kept it from crashing to the floor but it tore into pieces, glued together loosely with globs of icing. Jellied fruit oozed up from the center as though the cake were bleeding to death. “Oh crap, sorry!”
    The guys only laughed.
“You baked the thing, you’re entitled to ruin it,” James supplied.
“Plus, who cares what it looks like. It’ll still taste fucking great.” Dave’s gaze heated. “Just like everything else you make.”
He shuffled toward the sink to rinse his hand but Joe stopped his friend with a light touch on the other man’s elbow. “Wait, I have a better idea.”

The wicked glint in his eyes had her taking a couple giant steps backward. “Oh, no. No. Joe! This is a brand new dress.”
“Then let’s take it off so it doesn’t get ruined. Cause, I promise, we’re about to take the term feeding frenzy to a whole new level.”
“I like the way you think.” James sidled up behind her, trapping her between their work-hardened bodies. “Let me help.”
When she pivoted her head to stare at him with bug eyes, he nodded reassurance then kissed her cheek. His fingertips teased the skin of her thighs at hem of her dress. He whispered, “I can stop if you’re not ready.”
    Morgan didn’t move.
She kept her stare locked on Joe while James stripped her slowly, revealing her by tiny degrees to his partners.
“Son of a bitch. I’m hungry.” Neil shot his lover a dirty look. “Hurry, you tease.”
James laughed but continued at his painfully slow pace. Joe still held the remnants of the cake, and Dave’s hands were slathered in icing. Neil couldn’t resist. He sank to his knees at her feet, running his palms up her calves, then her thighs.
“I wanted to touch you so bad last night.” He nuzzled her mound when James revealed the lilac lace creating a flimsy barrier
