the side of the building. When Hayashi was at the top of the building his entire body had transformed into a majestic white zenko . Within seconds of Hayashi running after David and pouncing from building to building with tremendous speed not able to be seen by the eye he had caught up to them.

    ****

“What the fuck do you think you’re doing,” said Ichiro with a nervous edge to his voice looking back to see where Hayashi could be?

“Taking justice into my own hands,” said David driving at warp speed. “You’re right! The case’s never going to make it to trail and you’re going to walk just as Daiki did.”

“You think I’m afraid of dying,” Ichiro exploded in laughter? “Fuck you and death.”

With his eyes glowing crimson red, David smirked and spoke in a demonic tone, “Who said anything about killing you? Death is quick, but pain can last for an eternity.”

“What the fuck are you talking about?”

“I’m talking about giving you the same treatment you gave Neige!”

    Ichiro chortled even harder.

“Have you ever had your shit pushed in?” asked David.

”You’ve been watching too many movies, detective. I’ve been to prison before and I’ve had my shit pushed in.”

“You misunderstand the question. How about I push your testicles up inside of you until it resembles a vagina? Or how about I just take my gun and blow your balls off and have you shitting through a colostomy bag for the rest of your life.”

Ichiro stopped chuckling as David made a sharp left and turned down an abandoned alley, then stopped the car.

He got out of the car, opened the trunk, and got a tire iron. Ichiro turned around as David opened the door, pulled him out of the car and shoved a dirty rag in Ichiro’s mouth to keep him from being heard.

With his hands behind his back, Ichiro tried to fight back and head-butted David. David took out his gun and aimed it at Ichiro.

“Please, don’t do this,” said Ichiro.

David removed the safety and clutched the trigger with his hands trembling.

“David, don’t do this,” said Hayashi as he ran into the alley.

David turned around and pointed the pistol at Hayashi.

“That’s right, point the gun at me,” said Hayashi as he stretched his arms out.

“I can’t let him get away with what he did to Neige!”

Ichiro screamed, “Listen to me, I swear on my dead mother that I didn’t do anything to Neige but rape her. When we left, she was still alive.”

David turned the gun back to Ichiro. “Bullshit! Alive? Half-beaten to death, unable to move, barely breathing, with her jaw torn off and the word “snitch” carved in her forehead. You call that alive, you scumbag?”

David shoved his gun to Ichiro’s lower abdomen. “You have one more time to lie to me and I swear you’ll be pissing and shitting out of a plastic bag.”

“David put your gun down,” said Hayashi.

David turned back at Hayashi. “Why? Why should I let this piece of shit just get away with killing Neige?”

“Because if you kill him, you’ll become exactly like him or worse. Killing Ichiro won’t bring Neige back, or bring her memory or any type of justice. Think of Myoko.”

The minute Hayashi said her name: David began to think of Myoko’s smile and lowered his gun. His eyes lost their red hue. He shook his head and began weeping. “She didn’t deserve what they did to her! She didn’t deserve it! She’s dead because of me!”

Hayashi walked over to David and hugged him. “It’s okay! Everything’s going to be alright. You’re not alone in this.”

As David got his bearings back, Hayashi put Ichiro back in the police car. When David got in the passenger seat, Hayashi’s eyes began to glow an odd shade of yellow before he got back in the car. Instincts made him look up at the top of a building close by, where he saw a figure looking exactly like
