with Mike and his comments. Maybe even some touching when he asked me to dance. Not anymore.
    This is much better.
I go over to Jenna to tell her I want to leave. “That guy is an asshole!” I yell over the music and pulling Jenna towards the bathrooms. She holds her finger up to Jeff to tell him she’ll just be a minute. We get to hall by the bathrooms and open the door to go in.
“What did you say? I couldn’t hear you, but you look pissed,” Jenna says with a concerned look.
“Mike was a total pervy dick.”
She looks shocked. “He seemed nice while we were all talking by the bar. Super interested in you. What did he do?”
“Told me I was a prize and I had a bangin’ body. And if the comments weren’t enough he started eyeing me like I was naked and not in a hot way. Like in a pervy way. He was gross and I am absolutely done hanging out with him.”
    “That bad?”
“Yes. Absolutely. Normally the guys you set me up with are annoying or over eager, but this guy was just…” my body shakes at the memory of the way he was looking at me. “Total creep!”
She looks very apologetic. “I’m sorry, Rachel. Jeff was super cool last night. He said this guy Mike was really nice too and you guys seemed fine before we went to dance.”
“Not your fault. It still doesn’t change the fact that he was an asshole, or that he ruined my mood. I want to leave, but Jimmy and Dan didn’t come tonight and I don’t want to walk alone.” I don’t want to ruin her night with Jeff, but I don’t know how else to get home. “Maybe you and Jeff can walk me home and then come back? It’s only like ten minutes each way.”
“Definitely. Let me go tell Jeff. We’ll meet you outside,” she says before leaving the bathroom.
I take second to look in the mirror and I still look just as good as I did when I left my room. Because I didn’t dance, my hair hasn’t started to frizz and my makeup still looks great. At least I’ll still look hot when I see Jake later. I smile at myself and leave the bathroom heading for the exit.
When I get outside, Jenna is standing by herself. “Where’s Jeff? I don’t want you walking back by yourself.”
“He’s a prick with a small prick. Probably the steroids. I dumped him.” She is so matter of fact about it.
“What?” I say, a shocked look on my face.
“I told him that Mike was an ass to you and asked him to come with me to walk you home. He refused and told me that you were probably being a tease. He said your tits were hanging out, which apparently means that you were begging to be treated like shit. So I dumped him. He was a bad lay anyways. I just liked that I was able to wear heels with him and still be shorter. Whatever.” She finishes her explanation flipping her hand in the air like she is shooing him away.
“Wow. TMI?” I say laughing at her comments.
“When do I not give too much info? Anyways, I wasn’t really digging the red hair. Now that I’m done with Jeff, I get to dye it again. Start fresh. How do you feel about blonde with red streaks?” she asks pulling my hand as we start to walk back to the dorm.
“I won’t really know until I see it, but I like you blonde and you did blonde with burgundy last spring. I think it’ll look good,” I say smiling at her.
“I like me blonde too!” she squeals like we just found out we have the most amazing thing in common.
After walking in comfortable silence for a few minutes, I look over at her. My Jenna. My best friend. “Thanks for leaving with me. I wasn’t really in the mood to be there anymore. Thanks for standing up for me, too.”
She smiles at me. “I would do anything for you, Rachel. You’re my best friend. If some douche doesn’t want to leave for twenty minutes to come with me to walk you home, then he can kick rocks. And he obviously doesn’t know anything about you. You wouldn’t know the first thing about teasing a man!”
“Hey!” I say slapping her arm
    “Plus, you would
