move. All that could be heard was the sounds of rapid breathing. This time when their eyes met, looks of shock, awe, and acknowledgement that what they’d felt was more than just sex, it had been an intensely intimate connection. Now, they were both caught off guard, clearly, but neither one wanted to run.
Ravi rolled off of Sasha and went to his side, wrapping his arm around her waistline and making sure she was as close to him as she could be.
“Wow,” she finally said. Afterwards she laughed. Highly inadequate words. But what words could describe what she’d just experienced? Mind blowing, maybe.
“Ati sundar.” He murmured these words and his one hand grabbed a tendril of her hair and he wrapped it around his finger.
    “What does that mean?”
    “Exquisite.”
“Hmm, that definitely sounds more poetic than wow.” A soft chuckle escaped from her full lips.
He leaned over to kiss her parted lips, choosing to nibble on them softly. “Thank you.”
She looked at him, one eyebrow now raised. Strange comment. “For what?”
“For giving me all of you, I sensed it,” he said.
Now Sasha felt a slight wave of panic, not sure where this was headed and not wanting to leave the amazing place that her experience with Ravi had taken her. She tensed up.
He sensed that, as well, and quickly added, “Please, don’t worry. It was perfect.”
“I guess I was a bit…involved.” Involved, really? She could have kicked herself for that word; it sounded beyond lame.
“As were I. You sensed it, though, didn’t you? There was something about our connection that was more than what we played it off to be.” Ravi was shocked by his boldness and willingness to state what he felt, not dwelling on it for any length of time. It just seemed right to talk about it right there, flesh to flesh, hearts still beating rapidly.
Sasha felt a lump in her throat and she struggled to get it down. “I did. So, what does this mean, exactly?”
“That you’re going to sell me your company.” He said this seriously and looked at Sasha, waiting for her response.
In an instant, her eyes sparked up and her body began to squirm and her right arm came out, wanting to deliver a swift smack to him. Thankfully he was quicker than her. “I was just kidding, Sasha.” Then he started to laugh.
She frowned and then she began laughing, too, but wanted to retaliate. That’s when she found out that Ravi, image of masculine power that he was, was also very ticklish. And she was relentless, making him beg for mercy.
“I promise. No more jokes like that,” he said.
“And if you do, you’ll get this again.” She held up her fingers and wiggled them, staring right at his oblique, which were his most ticklish area.
After they settled down into each other’s arms again, they began to talk, more quietly and thoughtfully and seriously. What next? That was the question. Saudi Arabia and New York were hardly close enough for a lot of opportunity to pursue something.
“What can either of us expect, really?” Sasha sighed. She felt slighted for the first time about having to choose her career over a possibly great relationship.
“We’re smart and we have resources. Consider it a challenge.” He took his finger and ran it down her spine, making her shiver and snuggle in tighter to him.
“Time. That’s what neither of us have a lot of.”
“Well, there’s a great deal that I’d give up for you.”
Before Sasha could ask what, his phone rang. “Do you have to get that?”
He got up and went over to his pants, where it was still clipped. “No, not now. It’s my father. I’ll call him tomorrow.”
“You sure? What if it’s important?”
“He has a knack for calling at just the wrong time. You. You’re the here and now for me.”
Sasha smiled, enjoying seeing him in the buff and watching him walk back to the bed and get back under the covers.
“Now, where were we?” Ravi smiled at her and gave her a kiss.
    “Discussing
