refusing to open until she smelled coffee. Adrian and Alex had woken her several times through the night. Each time the lovemaking had been more intense, her need more demanding, and the release more exhausting. How any of them were moving was truly beyond her. She was sure she could sleep for an entire week.
She finally managed to focus her tired eyes and found Adrian sitting on the bed in front of her, already fully dressed and holding a half-empty cup of coffee. She licked her lips and reached for the mug. He smiled and gave it to her willingly, touching her face lovingly as she tipped it to her mouth. It was strong and sweet—just the way she liked it.
“Actually it’s two in the afternoon,” he said in an apologetic tone, “but I need to get going and I didn’t want to leave without waking you.”
She smiled as the arm around her waist tightened and pulled her closer.
“Go away,” Alex mumbled, “some of us don’t need to be up for hours yet.”
“As you can see,” Adrian said with a smile, “my brother is not a morning person.” He leaned over and pressed a coffee-flavored kiss to Sophie’s lips. “Luckily for him the club doesn’t open until late afternoon.”
“The club?” she asked. She knew he was a successful local business owner. She’d just never gotten around to asking what business.
    “Viper’s—it’s a private club on—”
“Viper’s Dungeon?” She scrambled out of the bed, smacking away the hands that tried to stop her. “You own Viper’s Dungeon?”
Both men looked a little shocked by her reaction.
“You know about Viper’s Dungeon?” Alex asked, looking quite pleased. “That should make it a lot easier to explain our kinks. Have you ever been to the club? We’d love to show you around.”
She shook all over as anger began to churn low in her gut. Was this what last night had been all about? How the hell had she managed to hook up with two more guys who wanted to make her their sex slave? Weren’t there any sane men left in the world?
“I…ah…I just remembered I have an appointment today.” She grabbed her clothes, pulling them on quickly, covering herself from their eyes. “One of my suppliers is a dr–dropping by to demonstrate some new equipment.” She made a show of realizing the time and then continued to babble nervously about nonexistent work commitments as she picked up Alex’s clothes and handed them to him.
“Sophie?” Alex asked with so much hurt and confusion in his tone that she wanted to apologize and throw herself back into his arms. How the fuck had she found herself in this position again? Learning to live without Malcolm had been hard. Would he have sent them here? To her shop? Was he trying to prove to her that all men considered her a potential sex slave? Did sex clubs prey on the poor little fat girl with low self-esteem?
“I need you to go,” she said, trying not to sound hysterical. “I’ve got a really busy afternoon and then I need to get some sleep so that I can bake the bread on time tomorrow.” She continued to talk, excuse after excuse falling from her lips, each more ridiculous than the last.
Adrian stood back, the expression on his face hard to read. He nodded once and then left the room. Her heart clenched in her chest, the pain making her eyes fill with tears. She wasn’t going to miss him. She wasn’t. She wouldn’t let herself.
But just the thought of arriving at work tomorrow and not seeing him there waiting for her was almost more than she could bear. She’d considered him a friend, a close friend, and losing that was going to hurt even more.
Alex climbed out of bed slowly, watching her with eyes that saw way too far into her soul. She felt exposed in a way she’d never felt before, not even when she’d been naked and sprawled across his lap last night.
He moved to stand in front of her, his looming presence far more intimidating than she’d realized before. He brushed a knuckle under her eye,
