her standing there. Walking over to
her, he quickly kissed her lips and it felt like a million points of light had
shot through him as her hands rested on his chest.
“ Mmm . Hello darling, have you missed me?” Collin asked while he
kissed her cheek.
“Very much so, I
couldn’t get you off my mind.” Collin opened her car door and helped her in.
When he got in, he quickly resumed where he left off kissing her lips. He had
been dying to taste her again and was happy she seemed to be to let him. She
giggled and said, “I think you just like me because of my lips.”
Collin chuckled as he
sat back up on his side. “Now that’s not true, I like all of you. I can’t help
it that you’re lips are always calling for me to kiss them like that. Let’s
head onto the restaurant so we can eat.” With that, he started up the car and
they made their way out of the parking garage.
At Bagwell’s, they sat
at a table on the terrace as they looked over their menus.
“Collin?” said a feminine
voice.
Collin looked over and
saw Carol standing from one of the other tables. She came over with a smile after
he recognized her but when she noticed Regina, her smile slowly slipped away.
“Why, hello there Carol, how are you doing today?” Collin said as he stood up
and gave her a hug while she gave him a peck on the cheek.
“I’m doing fine, why
haven’t you called me? It’s been days since we were together and I so wanted to
go for round two.” Carol smiled wickedly at him.
“I want you to meet my
good friend Regina. Regina, this is Carol.”
“Hello. How do you do?”
said Regina with a small smile as Carol looked her over but quickly turned back
to Collin.
“So I was wondering
what you had planned for this weekend?”
Watching Carol
basically dismiss Regina, Collin didn’t care for it one bit. “Didn’t you hear
the lady ask you how you were Carol? You know it’s very rude to ignore someone
like that. I think you owe her an apology.”
Carol looked at him and
then back at Regina. “I am sorry for ignoring you Regina. I am doing fine,
thank you.”
Regina nodded while
looking down.
“I think you better go
Carol. I’ll talk with you later, all right.”
She nodded and gave him
a peck on the cheek and walked back to her table.
Collin sat and looked
at Regina who still had her head down. Tilting his head to see her looking at
her fingers, he cupped her chin and raised her face to meet his gaze. He smiled
at her and her face softened as she smiled as well. “No need for that, always
hold your head up high.” With that comment, she smiled even more as the waiter
came over to get their order.
“Listen Regina, I was
wondering if you would like to go with me to a party that some of the guys were
giving on Saturday night. It’s not going to be anything fancy, just a come as
you are get together with some friends. I would love it if you come with me.”
“Why sure, I’d love to
go. What time will you be picking me up?” she asked after taking a sip of sweet
tea.
“Around eight, just
remember that it’s just a get together with friends and know I’ll be happy to
have you on my arm that night.” Collin smiled as she did too.
While they ate their
lunch, Collin remembered what his brother Randall had told him about telling
Regina about the party and to stop it before he got too deep. Watching her
while she ate, he thought he could handle this, he was a big boy. When they got
back to the office, they stopped up at the top of the parking garage for a
while since no one ever parked up there. Getting out of the car, they walked around
to the back. He quickly held her in his arms and she giggled. Looking down at
Regina, he moved a strand of hair from her face. Her brown eyes looked at him,
like they were scanning him inquisitively while her fingers lightly touched his
face and trailed toward his hair.
He closed his eyes and
relished how tender she was with him as she continued playing with his hair.
