defect or god or aliens or whatever. Centuries ago not years, sorry. One got her power from the earth, she created it. The other, for some reason, couldn’t create it, he had to take it. Like take it from other witches or humans. Suck it right out of them, kill them. He was locked up as a child by his sister because he was obviously not er... safe . Then just under a century ago, he escaped, caused a ruckus, killed millions of humans, you’d know it as the holocaust. He created these beings, a little army that, like him, had to take magic from others to live, but these little minions could not wield power because their bodies were not created to do so. Marco, the twin who had to take power, couldn’t muster enough power even after killing all of those people, to create such an ability in his creation. He made these things out of humans, tainted their blood with magic somehow. We call them vampires, though they’re a lot different from what society would call a vampire. They are trash. Selfish beings who only lust for blood. They are incapable of love. His sister, Arianna, then in return, created the immortals from witches and humans to kill off these other beings-”
“Stop, stop, are you insane?” I demand furiously. “My father is dead and you’re feeding me this crap? What’s wrong with you?”
    Both of them sigh simultaneously.
“Show her,” Jacob mumbles and nods to D. "I don't have the patience to ease her into this."
D smirks and suddenly a lamp is flying from beside me towards the wall. I jump up, eyes wide. It then stops in midair and slowly sets itself down on the floor right before smashing into the wall.
“D is a witch,” Jacob says.
    “I prefer warlock,” D amends.
I’m sure my eyes are about to fall from their sockets. Holy hell. Did I just see that? Surely there’s some sort of logical explanation… Only thing is, I know that there’s not. There is no explanation, for any of the nonsense that I’ve seen. Not a logical one at least. Not one that will explain anything I’ve seen: my mother’s death, the boy flying up to the roof at school, Nathan becoming unconscious by D’s mere touch, or the lamp flying across the room. I realize that I’ve seen too much to say that it’s coincidence or there’s another explanation. Something weird is happening, has been happening for a while. I can admit that much. Witches and vampires and immortals though? I don't know.
I don’t know what it is inside me but something is begging me to listen to what Jacob has to say no matter how crazy it sounds because have I not seen enough crazy crap lately that I have no explanation for? After all, do I not have reason to believe that D could be a witch? That or he has some mad magician skills.
“Your father, our father, is an immortal, as am I. D’s grandmother is the witch who created the immortals, her name is Arianna,” Jacob explains slowly as if I have a mental disability.
“Immortals cannot have children with witches of either of the two lines, nor with other immortals, or humans. Therefore your mother has to have been a vampire,” D continues with his own words. "I don't know why they can mate with with vampires they just can."
“Our father fell in love with your mother although it is the most important rule of our existence not to be involved with the vampires. We were designed to hate the vampires, it’s why we were made. We were made to kill them. It goes against our entire nature to feel anything except hate towards those creatures,” Jacob explains while scratching his head. “D’s parents were killed by Marco, Arianna’s twin brother, he has been trying to rid the world of Arianna’s entire line since he got out of his prison. Likely as some sort of revenge against his sister locking him up all those years ago. He’s managed to kill nearly all the witches in her line accept for maybe two hundred including D who are all in hiding...except D because
