to be locked in when he finished the house. He wanted to laugh with sheer triumph at making her feel that good. Her eyelids were puffy and low, her smile languid, the arm she lifted to his shoulder as he settled over her welcoming and heavy.
He wanted to make her come again, had said he would, but he was only mortal and she was incredible. So electrifying. All he could think about was pushing into her.
She let him, arching with invitation to his first nudge, allowing him to sink into receptive, taut flesh that clasped deliciously at his length.
Trying to resist the urgent need to climax, he tucked her beneath him and kissed her, wanting her as aroused as he was.
It took a minute. She was sweet and relaxed as she kissed him back, simply enjoying. Imperatives pounded in his blood, but he forced himself to be patient, shifting fractionally so he was as deep inside her as he could possibly be, letting her catch up to his level of need. Running his fingertips on the sensitive underside of her arm, he found her hand and pressed it to the mattress over her head.
Then he kissed all the tender skin he’d exposed, taking his time getting to her nipple and only then letting some of his fierce hunger take over. He sucked hard, feeling her jerk beneath him before he soothed with his tongue.
She restlessly wriggled her hips beneath his, making him smile.
He used his weight to keep her pinned, letting the frustration build for both of them as he kissed her again, deep and hungry. He couldn’t thrust into her with the savagery riding him, but he let her know how badly he wanted to. They parted and crashed their mouths together several times, breaths growing ragged, and finally, finally, she whimpered with need. She was ready.
He pulled away and thrust in, cautious, but deliberate and deep.
Her eyes opened, glittering gaze fixing to his. She was with him again. When he withdrew and sank into her the next time, her nails dug into his upper arms and she pressed her head into the mattress, exposing her throat to him. He wanted to tell her how hot she made him, but his voice wasn’t there. The only words in his head were basic: Want. Have. Mine.
He’d never felt so animalistic. So purely gripped by the need to mate.
She curled her legs around his waist, urged him deeper, harder. Her gasps tore the silence. Her growing noises of pleasure and passion lifted the hairs all over his body. Both of them filled the air with a language of carnal desire. And when the crisis hit, elevating her cries to joyful bliss, he shouted in conquest and bucked hard in an outpouring of primitive ecstasy.

Linc left her and she heard water run in the bathroom.
Meg sat up, so self-conscious she wanted to scramble into her clothes and regain some composure, maybe even bolt, but her exit strategy was limited: call her brother or ask Linc to take her home. And it wasn’t like she really wanted to leave. She just didn’t know how to face Linc after being so abandoned .
There must be a freeing aspect to temporary arrangements like this. That must be the appeal. He didn’t know what she was or wasn’t like ‘normally.’ Instinctively knowing that, she’d allowed herself to immerse completely in their lovemaking. It was only one night and even though she had told him she wasn’t a prude, she usually kept a lot to herself. Her thoughts and feelings had always been an inward thing, her behavior during sex really more about not embarrassing herself or giving up too much of her heart.
Maybe the fact that parting was unavoidable had allowed her to show her true colors. In most of her relationships, she held back so she wouldn’t be too invested if rejection happened. Tonight, all her investment was in the physical pleasure they gave each other so she’d wrung every last breath out of it.
He walked back into the room, naked and totally comfortable in his skin. Godlike with his faint tan lines of a pair of shorts across his hips and the rest of him a
