people in the world. Erik Dken, a shape shifting tiger?! Nobody would believe it.

Today was supposed to be my first working day at Opak as Erik’s assistant. This was going to be very awkward. I was not even sure if I wanted to work there anymore, because it would mean bumping into him and talking to him every day. Right now I was supposed to forget about him, even though it was going to be the hardest thing in my life to do. He is a tiger Sarah, there’s no way you can have a relationship!

Although my situation was strange, I was not going to be a coward and back out of my new job. In the morning I was going to go over to the Opak offices, and I was going to work as usual, whether Erik was there or not. I would figure out some way of working around my feelings, and I would probably find another man who would make me get over Erik. Hopefully.

“You seem to be acting strange since you arrived back from your work trip,” my dad said, walking into my bedroom and sitting on the bed next to me. “It has to be a man. You are in love but scared of something.”

“No daddy, it is nothing like that. I'm just thinking about work,” I replied a little too quickly.

“Come on Sarah, I have raised you all these years alone and I know you, don’t lie to me,” James insisted.

“Okay, dad, maybe it is a man, but I really don’t wanna talk about it right now. Maybe some other time,” I smiled at the only man who knew me inside out. Wait, I think Erik also knew me just about as well.

“I'll be glad to hear you out when you are ready. You had better get some sleep because tomorrow you will be working.”

He gave me a hug and made his way out of my bedroom. Talking about sleep, I don’t think that I would be getting any tonight, not with all of the overload in my mind. I was in love with a tiger shape shifter, and I could not let go.

I made it to the Opak parking lot by nine in the morning. My heart was beating because I knew that I would be seeing Erik today, and I was not sure if I was going to control myself infront of him. I had even dressed up in my sexiest outfit just so that I would be able to impress him.

I was planning on telling him I didn’t care that he was a shifter. I was still in love with him.

“Hi, Sarah,” Lena beamed as I walked out of the elevator.

“Hi Lena, how was your weekend?” I smiled at her, walking over to the counter and reaching around it to hug her. She was the one who had practically given me the opportunity to get this job, and to also get the only man that I have ever loved.

“I'm guessing that yours was better, since you were hired.”

“This was all thanks to you, Lena, I owe you one, where do I begin, and is Mr. Dken in already?” I said to her.

“Come on, forget about work. I want to know how it went with Erik in his suite.” She said, walking around the counter and beginning to lead me towards an office that was next to Erik's.

“What makes you think that anything happened between Erik and I?” I asked, although I knew that the blush on my cheeks gave me away.

    “Nothing..nothing at all.” Lena smiled.

Here, this is your new office.”

I spent the whole day getting acquainted with the workplace and waiting for Erik to come. He did finally show up, but I only got a glimpse of him. I needed to talk to him, but he would not pick up my extension when I tried calling him. He finally called us for a meeting in his office, me, Lena and a couple of other guys who worked here.

He sat at the head of the board meeting table, and I sat adjacent to him. I could breathe him, and it made my senses dizzy just imagining how close he was to me. The blood in my veins raced through my body. I noticed the way that Lena kept looking from Erik to me and back, and I wondered if she knew anything. Erik on the other hand completely avoided eye contact with me, even when he was introducing me to the
