reception desk at the front of the building.
Angela had no idea how to reply to that comment. The truth was that she didn’t know what Isaac was to her anymore. He was still her friend, and probably always would be. But she had yet to tell Marcella and she wasn’t looking forward to it. She had no idea what would happen next. If it was just one night, she could’ve managed to pretend it hadn’t happened.
She’d lost count of the number of times they’d come together last night. It had been fantastic and mind blowing. That night would forever be seared into her memory for her to relive over and over in her mind. Surely sex wouldn’t be so passionate and absorbing with just anyone. It most certainly hadn't been in any of her past experiences.
Which left her wondering, what happens next? She wasn’t really prepared to trust him with her heart. Yet, did she have a choice? If things between them ended today wouldn’t she be just as devastated? No. she told herself determinedly. If he ended things today she could walk away with her pride intact. Wasn’t that a good enough reason to keep herself as emotionally distant as she could manage?
When she reached her desk she peeked at the photo in her drawer of her, Marcella and Isaac. She needed to talk to Marcie.

Isaac tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear as she slept. The sex was mind blowing. He couldn’t remember anything in the past coming close to how it felt with Angela. It was obvious that she felt the same way. Yet, he could tell she was holding back. He’d thought that his largest hurdle would be getting her to think of him as more than just a friend but apparently all he’d succeeded in doing was to force her to see him as a friend- with benefits. She usually had Friday’s off so his final thought before he fell asleep was that he would make breakfast and invite her out to dinner someplace nice.
When he woke in the morning it was to find an empty bed. He threw on his jeans and a white t-shirt before leaving in search of Angela. He smelled coffee when he made it to the kitchen. Angela wasn’t really a coffee drinker but she’d started fixing a pot in the morning for him since she woke up first. She stood at the counter wearing his shirt which fell to the middle of her cinnamon colored thighs.
Isaac pressed his chest against her back and wrapped his arm around her waist before dropping a kiss on her neck “Good Morning”.
Turning in his arms she laced her hands behind his neck and reached for his kiss “Morning”.
Soft lips met his. He kept the kiss light but reached his hands beneath the shirt to run his fingertips over the sensitive underside of her breast. He smiled when she shivered in his arms. She responded so well to his touch. He pushed the small containers on the counter aside and hoisted her body into the air so that she sat perched on the ledge. Moving between her open legs he began to undo the buttons on the shirt.
“Do you have any plans today.” he asked her.
He raised a brow at the guilty look that crossed her face and she bit her lip. Before she could answer her cell phone buzzed. He glanced at the phone when she turned it over in her hand. On the screen was a message from Charles.
“What does he want this early in the morning?” he asked gruffly.
“He asked me to go see a live band at the park.” she responded.
“And did you tell him no?” he asked. When she responded with a shake of her head he took a step back separating their bodies. “You sleep with me and agree to go on a date with Charles?”
“It’s not like that! Things between us were confusing. Relaxing at the park sounded like a great idea at the time.” Angela moved to jump off the counter but he moved back between her legs before she could move off.
“I’ve seen the way he looks at you.” He tucked her hair back behind her ear and caressed her jaw before planting his hands on the counter.
    “It’s not a date. It’s not like
