she never knew, for the lack of friends and companions she’d had to turn away over the years. She cried for her lonely, dried-up, spinster aunt who couldn’t show her how to love, and most of all, she cried for herself. She cried for all the loneliness and the lack of human contact throughout her entire life. Finally her tears slowed and stopped. She gave a few hiccups until she could finally breathe more easily. One of the men handed her some tissues, so she blew her nose, keeping her head lowered. She was so embarrassed over the way she had fallen apart and now understood why she had been crying, but she wanted to try and hide it from them. She needed to wrap herself up in that ice again, because if she didn’t she knew she would end up totally shattered.
“Look at me, baby,” Tom commanded again.
Felicity didn’t bother trying to hide this time. She could hear the frustration in Tom’s voice and didn’t want to give him any cause to be angry with her.
    “Why were you crying?”
Felicity didn’t answer. She lowered her eyelashes once more, giving a negligible shrug of her shoulders.
“I am not going to push you any more tonight, but be warned. From now on, you are our woman. You will not deny me, Billy, or Luke anything. If we ask you a question, you will answer immediately. If you have any problems, you will come to one of us and talk it through. If one of us upsets you, you will talk it out with that person and let them know how you feel. If you can’t resolve the problem between you and the other person, you will bring another of us in to act as mediator. You will not leave this ranch without telling one of us where you are going, how long you will be, and if necessary, you will take one of us with you. Do you understand what I am telling you?” Tom asked.
Felicity couldn’t believe what he had just stated. He had said she was their woman. Did that mean she was going to be available to all three of them when they wanted to fuck? She jumped from the bed, grabbed her shirt, and pulled it over her head. She stood glaring at the three men looking at her expectantly.
“Are you out of your fucking mind?” Felicity yelled. “How dare you tell me what I can and can’t do. How dare you think I’ll be a quick roll in the hay for you to relieve an itch. Who the hell do you think you are? I don’t answer to you or anyone else. God, your ego is so big it’s a wonder your head hasn’t exploded.”
Felicity let her eyes rake over the three men staring at her from the bed as she stopped her ranting. She watched as their eyes changed from astonishment to anger in the blink of her eye. Uh-oh. She was in deep shit. She spun on her heels, slammed into the bathroom, and locked the door. She covered her mouth as a hysterical giggle threatened to erupt. The look on Tom’s face as she slammed and locked the door before he could reach her was not pleasant. In fact, it was downright furious. She was contemplating if it would be in her best interests to pack up her car and steal away in the night. The thought of leaving the Double E Ranch, but more importantly the three men living in the ranch house, sent a shard of pain piercing through her heart.
In spite of everything, she knew she was falling in love with them. Oh no, please no. She didn’t want to be in love with those three men. They would break her heart. She knew there was no way in hell she would survive having her heart shattered by them. She was going to have to leave. She sat down on the closed toilet lid in defeat. She was going to miss them so much. She had no idea when they had crept in under her skin and taken her heart into the palm of their hands. Maybe she could get Jack to help her. He was such a nice man. They had become good friends practically from the first day she had arrived on the Double E Ranch. Yeah, Jack would help her sneak out.
Felicity had heard the three men stomp out of her bedroom, but she was cautious and peeked through a gap in
