eyes open and
looked down to see Xavier still perched between her legs.
He
gave her a smile that took her breath away. “I think this could be my new
favorite view.”
Unbidden,
heat crept up from her neck to her cheeks but she didn’t try and move away or
to close her legs.
“And
ripe cherries could be my new favorite flavor.” His voice was deep and sensual.
When Xavier licked his lips her heart skipped a beat.
Esral
didn’t want this to be over. She wanted him to make love to her, to take her
thorn. She wanted a life with this male but it was impossible.
Knowing
this was the last time they could be together like this, she pulled herself up
onto her elbows while keeping her eyes on his.
Xavier’s
hooded eyes swirled with silver. His brow was creased and his jaw tense, not in
anger or confusion, instead it was a look she had come to recognize as desire.
His eyes dipped to her breasts before lifting back up.
“It’s
my turn to touch you,” she whispered before her resolve left her.
Panic
flashed across his face and he shook his head. “Not a good idea, princess.” His
nostrils flared. “I can scent that you still ache.” He looked back down at her
flower, his breath warm on her nectar soaked flesh.
“No.
I really want to feel you. To ease you too.”
“Soon,
princess. Right now—”
“No…”
She shook her head, he didn’t understand. There could never be another time for
them to be together like this. This was it. She sat up, closing her thighs and
pulling them under herself. “Roll over onto your back.”
His
eyes flashed molten mercury and he clenched his jaw so tight that she was sure
he would crack a molar if he wasn’t careful. Xavier shook his head, his muscles
bunched as he used his arms to pull himself up.
“Do
it now.” Her voice came out sounding firm and sure even though her heart raced
like the wind on a stormy night.
The
creases deepened on his brow and he sucked in a ragged breath. “I don’t want to
end up rutting you and if you touch me, I might just lose my mind and do just
that. Making love to you…” His jaw clenched and he shook his head. “You don’t
want to know the number of nights I’ve woken up with a raging hard on. By
blood, princess, you don’t want to know the fantasies I have...and in every
single one of them my cock is buried deep inside you.”
Esral
had to close her eyes in order to restore her turbulent balance. Her first
instinct was to rip off her nightgown and to beg him to take her. To become one
with this male, joined for always. That was her greatest fantasy. It would
never happen though. She would stay true to York once she was mated but she
would have this moment with Xavier.
“I
will ease your need with my mouth and my hands.” Her voice trembled with both
nerves and excitement.
Xavier’s
eyes glowed for a few seconds before darkening up. He swallowed thickly. “Are
you sure? You really don’t…”
“Lie
down.” She gestured to the bed.
His
lip twitched, for a second it looked like he might actually smile but the
tension that radiated off of him dominated. “I didn’t know you could be so
bossy.”
“When
I want something, I go after it. Right now, I want to ease you. I want”—she
took a deep breath—“your…cock in my mouth.”
Xavier
groaned as he did as she asked. “Bossy and you talk dirty. I can’t wait to make
you mine.” Xavier turned serious, he lifted his upper body, cupping her jaw.
“Seeing you with York, made me realize that you are the one for me. I don’t
need to test compatibility; we’ll work out the whole blood thing. I need you in
my life, Esral. I don’t care—”
She
pushed his chest so that he would lie back down. She couldn’t listen to the
things he was saying. It hurt too much. To shut him up, she gripped his root in
her trembling hand and stroked the sensitive flesh.
Xavier
immediately fell back, he growled like she had hurt him.
“Was
I too rough?” There was a panicked edge
