ever since I got hired, I have been given one bullshit case after another. I mean cold cases, cases nobody else wanted and cases that had no leads at all. I understand I'm the rookie, but all I need is a damn break.
Headed out the door to go to lunch, my phone starts to ring.
“Detective Kojak, there's a young lady down here that says she witnessed a murder, you want me to send her up?”
“No, I'll come down to get her.”
Walking down the stairs I could just about imagine what this person is about to tell me.
Walking over to the desk I notice that I don't see anyone sitting in the waiting area.
“Hey Donna, who wants to see me?” I ask.
“The girl walking toward the door.”
I ran over to the young lady to try and stop her.
“Excuse me, excuse me Miss, did you need to talk to me?”
“I changed my mind now,” she said as she continued to walk toward the door.
“Miss, I apologize that you had to wait so long. I have just been very busy, but I am available now.”
She agreed to talk to me and I escorted her back up to my office.
“So ma'am, let’s start with your name.”
“I can't make a statement anonymously?”
“Sure you can. What do you need to tell me?”
“Well, I was following my boyfriend and I saw someone get shot.”
“Who?”
“I don't know his name, but I know the address.”
“Are they dead?”
“Yes.”
“Who shot this person?”
“Ava Cummings.”
I sat in silence for a moment. That name Cummings really got my attention. I fumbled through a few files on my desk before I came across the file labeled Rolando Cummings.
I took out a couple of photos so I could show them to her.
“Do you know this man?”
“That's Duce, Ava's father.”
“Have you ever seen him?”
“Yes, I see him a lot, but I'm here to talk about Ava.”
“Of course.”
“So where is Ava now?”
“Ayce took her, but I don't know where.”
“Why would Ayce take her?”
“Because she got shot, too.”
I could tell by the way Ms. Anonymous shifted in her seat she was tired of the questions and she was ready to go, but I had to see if she knew any of the other people in the other photos.
“We are almost finished here. Do you know any of these men?”
I showed her pictures of at least ten other men known to work for Rolando.
“I recognize a couple, but that one right there is the one Ava shot today.”
She pointed to a picture of Chris 'Slick' Davis.
“Can you write down the address of the house please, and that's all the questions I have for now. Call me if you come up with anything else.”
I couldn't believe it. I finally got a break in a case.
After a lot of phone calls, I was able to track down Ava and guess who was with her? Jayce 'Ayce' Thomas. They were not too happy to see me, but I knew even through their hardcore demeanor, I was on to something big. I just had to put the many pieces to this puzzle together.
Chapter 15
Mia
“Ohhhhhhhh yes Duce, yes, yes, yes, right there daddy. I'm going to cum Duce! Yes, make me cum.”
The one thing I was going to miss for sure about Duce was his good ass dick. This nigga did things to my body I didn't even know how to put into words. He had me bent over the back of the couch holding on for dear life.
“Shit baby, I'm about to cum, pop that pussy Mia,” he said as he smacked my ass. “Squeeze that shit baby, shit.”
We both came and fell on the couch totally spent.
I heard my phone chime telling me I had missed a call. I got up from the couch and walked over to my phone that was sitting on the kitchen counter. I actually had ten missed calls all from Jasmine.
Walking upstairs, I could see that Duce beat me into the shower, so I pulled out something to wear for the day while I called Jasmine back. With all the money this nigga has, I was tired of living in this two-bedroom, one-bathroom house in the hood. I have begged him countless times to please move me out of this hood and he just won't budge. It's all good
