was up to her usual antics
but now he didn’t care because a little mother
meddling was just what he needed.
They walked outside and headed
for Eva’s car.
“Would you make a house call to
my place tonight?” asked Alex.
“I should tell you that my
services are very expensive.”
“Well, I have a special way of
paying for them.”
“In that case, you’ll want the gold
level treatment plan.”
“Um, I like the sound of that,
whatever it is.”
Eva looked at her watch. “I’m
going to be late for my first patient, so I’ll stop by here around six.”
He leaned over and kissed her,
noting that his mother was now peeking out at them. She thought the drapes were
concealing her, but she’d never been subtle.
Don’t read anything into this because it’s a summer fling.
****
Eva couldn’t help think about Alex. She’d always had a soft spot
for a guy who was great with children. It was on her list of must-have
qualities when it was time to look for Mr. Right. She made some quick notes
about the patient she’d just seen, but then got back
to her daydreaming. Quality number two was a sense of humor. Check.
She rubbed her hands over her
eyes and forehead reminding herself what she’d told
him, what she’d told herself when he’d taken him to her townhouse and before
they had sex. Summer
fling only.
He’d quickly agreed
to it so she was right in thinking he didn’t want anything long-term either. Therefore thinking about him in this starry-eyed dreamy sort
of way was asking for trouble. Plus , she had a job to
go to in Denver. It wasn’t that far away. She had
family here in town, so she’d be back frequently and she
and Alex could have mini-flings.
She sat down her pen. That was if
he didn’t find someone he wanted to have a more permanent
relationship with once she was gone. Taking a deep breath, she was suddenly
confused. Was it the great sex that was making her change her
mind about him or what?
The buzzer on her desk telling
her the next patient was ready made her jump. Men and relationships were so
damn confusing.
Chapter Six
Alex had never taken part in role-playing
games before, but something about Eva made him want to try anything and everything new. After all, this was a
summer fling and anything was fair game, right? After they’d dropped by to see Sasha she’d told him to go home and then call her cell phone.
“Hello is this Dr. Eva McQuire ?” he asked, trying not to laugh.
“It is and how can I help you
tonight?”
He almost couldn’t keep a straight face knowing she was sitting outside in her car waiting for his
cue with the phone call.
“Something’s wrong with me. I’ve
been thinking about this woman all day and having fantasies about her doing
wicked things to me.”
“Wicked you say? Sounds serious,
so I think I should send my nurse over to your place just to check you out.”
Nurse?
He heard the phone purring in his
ear and suddenly had the image of a ménage a trois ,
but before he could process what she’d said, someone
was ringing his doorbell. He opened it to see Eva dressed in a nurse’s outfit. A very short nurse’s outfit. He swallowed and went hard
instantly.
“Alex, I’ve been sent to check
you out. Something about fantasies?” She leaned
against the trim of the front door and licked her lips.
Shit, he almost came there and
then.
“You’d better come in,” he barely
managed to get out.
Eva stepped inside and he led her
through to his living room.
She unzipped the top of her
outfit so her ample cleavage was on display.
“You want to sit on the couch
because I think I have the cure.”
“Oh, I hope so.”
Alex sat and Eva walked over to
him. She knelt, pushed his legs apart, and scooted close to his crotch.
She ran her hands over the front
of his jeans, making his cock hard—so hard that she had trouble pulling down
his fly. She slipped her hand inside his boxers, sliding her fingers around his
shaft.
“Just relax,”
