“Tampa, Florida,” Betty said. “Bright sunny days. Warm sandy beaches. Poolside nights filled with laughter and colorful drinks. A relaxing slice of paradise, right?”
Martin gave the question careful thought before answering. He had his own opinions regarding the sunshine state, but he didn't want to dampen Betty's enthusiasm. “Yes, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time.”
The two friends ate, drank, and talked well into the night. Betty's tension level was so low that she failed to freak out several hours later when Zorro sneaked a live bird past Bobbi and Brianna as they returned from their movie. Almost, that is.
Bobbi's Tomato Bruschetta
Ingredients :
Balsamic vinegar (2 tablespoons) Basil (¼ cup) French baguette (1) Ground black pepper (¼ teaspoon) Minced garlic (3 cloves) Olive oil (¼ cup) Roma tomatoes (6), chopped Salt (¼ teaspoon) Shredded mozzarella cheese (2 cups) Sun-dried tomatoes (½ cup)

Directions :
1. Preheat oven to broiler setting.
2. Combine roma tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, basil, garlic, olive oil, pepper, salt, and vinegar. Wait 10 minutes for all to settle.
3. Slice baguette into 3/4-inch slices. Place slices on a baking sheet. Broil till lightly brown (1 to 2 minutes).
4. Spread tomato mixture over baguette slices. Top off slices with mozzarella cheese.
5. Broil until cheese has melted (about 5 minutes).
