happened. Olivia quickly wiped herself and pulled her dress down.
Looking composed and so beautiful in the aftermath of such lust, she said, “ We better go now it is very late.”
They drove along in silence, until it was broken by a remark that was to set the scene for the forthcoming tomorrows.
Olivia's eyes never left the road as she sped on, to leave Doug at the end of his street, before returning to her own home.
“ What has just happened , changes everything, there is no going back,” Olivia said on a sombre note.
Doug did not want to go back he wanted the tomorrows.
Before Doug got out of the car, Olivia turned and took his hand in hers, looking up at him he saw the sadness pouring out of those large brown eyes that held his for more than a moment.
She leant forward and kissed him hard, saying, “Goodbye Doug, it was a brilliant evening, Thank you”.
She was thanking him? Should he not have been thanking her?
As Doug watched the little blue love machine disappear round the corner he tried to make sense of what had just happened.
He couldn't. How do you make sense of an enigma? Olivia was a mystery of complexity, dropping clues as to who she was in such a way as to confound all reasoning, which kept him wondering and wanting more.
A sleepless night was spent in reliving the moment .
That moment when Doug touched Olivia's warm welcoming mound, when his eager finger shocked her and gently pushed its way inside to feel the moist welcome she gave him.
He could feel her still, her legs wrapped around his back, pulling him deeper inside until he exploded.
Languishing in the feeling of the tide crashing against the rocks Doug felt the warm trickle of his love juice as he realised his explosion was real and not in his dream.
Nothing seemed to make sense, it was all unbelievable.
The reality was he had to get out of bed before Mary woke and smelt the ammonia that was creeping between the sheets.
Doug didn't have any contact with Olivia again, until the day she picked him up to go to the first rehearsal in Leeds.
It felt like a reunion and all the girls were excited to be doing another show.
It was a hard afternoon as they were on a tight schedule and when it was over Doug asked Olivia if she would like to go for something to eat before they went home.
He took her to a discreet Italian restaurant down the Headrow. They chatted about superficial things as they walked down the sunny street, no mention being made of the night down the lane.
Doug was desperate to discuss what happened that night. Was it a one off? Were they to embark on a relationship?
Olivia behaved as she always did, it was as though nothing happened at all. Doug, always the gentleman, held the door open and they chose a table near the window. They ordered garlic mushrooms for starters and a pizza to share.
Doug ordered the wine and they settled down to their accustomed banter.
His eyes never left Olivia's face as she chattered away, talking about anything and everything.
It was something he enjoyed about her.
She was an intelligent woman and could talk about most things, she made it interesting; he was interested.
After taking a sip of his wine, Doug looked out of the window. He could not think when he last felt so comfortable and happy.
He really liked being with Olivia. He loved the way she carried herself.
She was honest and what you saw was what you got. Her animated face showed such expression, she wore no masks.
As he watched the cars go by and listened to her, he thought he could sit there forever, it was almost perfect.
Another bottle of wine was ordered, it was a hot day and they were drinking fast. Doug took a sip after the waiter uncorked the bottle and he nodded. He studied the glass and took another drink.
He was trying to work out why he felt like he did, what was going in inside of him as his heart beat faster than usual.
What was he thinking? What was she really thinking?
In a moment of reckless abandonment
