    SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2007

At a quarter past midnight, a shimmering blue
light begins to wake you from your sleep. As you drift back into
consciousness, you welcome back the soft embrace of the satin
sheets, the crackle of a distant fireplace, the warmth of my body
cuddling up against your back, my left arm wrapped around your
torso. Only then do your eyes flutter open, your gaze taking in the
sight of a full moon in a crystal-clear sky. The massive
floor-to-ceiling window in our secluded mountain home gives you a
surreal panoramic view of the towering pine trees and purple
mountains, both chilled under the weight of the snow that fell the
night before.

But, more than anything, it is the full moon
that commands your attention.

You feel the sudden urge to stand up, to
climb out of bed. As you move your legs, my grasp tightens. You
gently coax my arm away with your grasp, then kiss my cheek as you
sit up in bed. As your naked legs dangle off the edge of the dark
four-poster bed, you adjust the translucent white fabric of your
nightgown, your only clothing. You look around and marvel at how
the moonlight illuminates the cavernous bedroom like a derelict
cathedral. Then, with a little squawk from the mattress, you stand
up. The carpet feels good between your toes.

Three steps later, you’re standing at the
window, looking up at the moon. Your hot breath leaves a little
round patch of condensation on the glass, a small circle whose
diameter grows and shrinks with each breath. Though the
half-consumed logs in the fireplace still warm the room, the glass
is still quite cold, and the world on the other side seems frozen
into a massive mural, all motion hidden in the stillness of
night.

You raise your right palm to the glass and
press it on a spot just to the right of the moon. As you do, a
familiar joy returns, the happy thought of cradling the moon in
your hand to know what it feels like, to examine it and better
understand its power. Reluctantly, the glass warms beneath your
soft palm.

Behind you, I am now awake, sitting up in bed
with my hands in my lap. I’m naked - save for a pair of grey
boxer-briefs - and beneath them, my cock begins to tingle and
expand. I’m smiling slyly as I watch you, watch the moonlight
penetrate your nightgown and reveal your naked backside beneath. As
I watch, I notice you bring your left hand to your mouth, then let
it glide slowly down the front of your body. I was reluctant to
approach you before, reluctant to disturb your moment of private
enjoyment, but I cannot help myself now. Quietly, I move the
coverlet aside and walk around the bed. Step by ginger step, I
approach you from behind.

The more you stare at the moon, the more you
feel its energy pour into your body like water into a glass. Your
left hand whisks the curves of your nightgown-covered breast and
grazes the erect nipple. A jingling pleasure from the contact makes
you gasp skyward and you instantly begin to feel wet between your
legs.

Very soon your secret will reveal itself to
me. There is nowhere for you to hide.

Right when you begin to notice my presence, a
kiss on the back of your neck comes at just the right time. Your
head turns back over your right shoulder and our faces meet in a
kiss. The hairs on my beard tickle your shoulder. Your right hand
squeaks down the glass and whips its hand to the back of my head,
your fingers running through my hair. My arms embrace you and my
left hand drags up to the
