Claiming His Fate
jaw as he growled louder than before. The vibrations rocketed me through the need and sent me flying. I came with a scream at the barest touch of his teeth, my muscles clenching on his fingers and thumb. My body shook while he continued to work me with his hands and mouth, drawing my orgasm out nearly to the point of pain. Time stopped, everything in the world floating away. All that was left was him and me and deep, deep pleasure pounding my body with sensation.
As my muscles relaxed and the overall drowning sensation of my orgasm ebbed, he crawled up the length of me. The scratchiness of his clothes on my oversensitive skin forced one last whole-body shiver. He pulled me against him and rolled to his side. The full-body contact was exactly what I needed, so I curled into his warmth as he wrapped himself around me. We stayed like that for several minutes, quiet and content as we cuddled. But then he sighed.
“I want to take you with me when I leave, kitten. I want to show you how good of a man I can be for you.” He licked my ear before tonguing his way down my neck to nibble on my shoulder.
“I want to make you come like this every day, spend hours with my face buried in that pretty pussy. And then I want you to ride my cock until I make you scream. Because I will—I’ll make you scream my name every single time you let me touch you. I promise you that.”
“But I don't even know your name.” My words came out slightly slurred, my voice scratchy and my mouth dry. I needed to clear my head, to push off the last of the lust clouding my judgment. I couldn’t lose myself in the man just because he could make me come six ways to Sunday.
He paused, his lips and teeth releasing their hold on my flesh before he chuckled.
“Well, damn.” He ran his hands along my back, pressing me tighter against him. “My name’s Abraham Lynch, though I go by Rebel. I ride with The Feral Breed; we’re the protectors of the secret for wolf shifters in North America.”
I froze, my back stiff and my brow furrowed. “Shifters?”
His silence made my heart speed up and my stomach drop. My mind was definitely clear again. Oh God, what if he was crazy? Wolf shifters…I didn’t even know what the hell that meant.
“You weren’t told?” His voice came out quiet, the shock evident in his tone. He pulled back and rolled to face me. “Charlotte, did you have any idea what you were walking into tonight?”
“No.” I reached for the sheet and covered myself as I sat up, my near-nakedness suddenly leaving me much more vulnerable than before. “I told you, I'm a waitress. The dancers staff the full-pink parties.”
His eyes grew wide and he rolled up onto his knees. “Then why the hell were you there?”
“Morris didn't give me a choice; he told me I had to go.”
“Shit.” He ran his hands through his hair and let his head drop back.
I clutched the sheet to my chest. “What’s a shifter?”
Rebel dropped his chin and met my gaze. He opened his mouth as if to speak but instead of words, a huge growl erupted and echoed through the room. I jumped as he spun to put himself between me and the door, which flew open a split second later. Gates leaned into the room, his head tilted down, and his eyes on the floor.
“Sorry to interrupt, but we've got a problem.”
Rebel’s growl cut off, but he stayed between the door and me. “What’s going on?”
Gates shook his head. “We can’t find Pup. I brought Numbers to keep watch over Cherry.”
A tall, wiry man stepped through the door. He glanced at me but quickly averted his eyes when Rebel snarled at him. The display shocked me. How could Rebel have this much power over these men, to be able to command obedience without a word spoken? That wasn’t quite…normal.
As soon as the other men bowed their heads, Rebel relaxed his stance and quieted. He turned to face me while pulling off his leather vest. Eyes on mine, he reached over his head and pulled his shirt by
