of the situation. She did her best to laugh with him, but inside she was freaking out. What had she done? She wanted more of it, but not at the cost of her girls.
For the next several days, she did her best to stay clear of him. Maybe if she ignored him and made it obvious, he would get the hint. That was tearing her apart. The instant attraction and the sex was unreal. Was it like that all the time for others who actually wanted to be together or was it just a one time deal?
The days ran into each other. Between her new job keeping her busy, and trying to get dinner on the table before Sam came home, it didn't seem to be working out. He threatened her with having to find a job with fewer hours. Jen was doing great in school, enjoying the babysitter and begging for a pet. Nelly was getting more and more annoyed with life, pretty sure the hormones were kicking in, but the camera kept her busy and she was getting good.
Sam tried to come onto her and she said that she had a belly ache so he would leave her alone. How could she ever have such boring sex with such an asshole, after what Scooter had done to her?
Scooter knew that she was scared and from her naïve comments while they were fucking, she must have been stirred up, but this was getting stupid. Does she think she can just ignore him away? Did she think that all meant nothing and that he would just give up? Enough is enough. It had been four long days since their get together and he wasn't going to let it go on like this. He was going to take what was his.
Her avoidance plan seemed to be working. Scooter had invited her out to lunch every day and she had managed to find an excuse each time. Too much work, eating with the kids at school... until, that Friday. She was working away, printing out invoices, and dealing with a few phone calls when he once again strolled into her office a little before noon.
“Oh, hi,” she said, looking up from her work, her heart racing and mind spinning on what excuse to give him this time. “I just have way too much work, maybe...” her words were cut short with a bang as he slammed the office door. She looked up at him as he closed in on her. She was paralyzed, but it wasn't fear.
“You think this is a joke? You think you can just ignore what is going on here, and me? I have claimed you... I warned you... you are mine and you had a chance to stop it!” he yelled at her.
Tears were streaming down her face as fear did set in. “Are you gonna hit me?”
“Are you fuckin' kidding me? You been watching too much TV, Nikki. I will never hit you.” He paces back to the door and then quickly turns around. “Does he hit you? Does that asshole who left you to a couple of bikers on the side of the road hit you?” he yelled again.
She continues to silently cry, not sure if she should look at him or not. “He has never hit me, he just threatens to, and punches the wall next my head. He just tries to scare me. It's fine,” she says, looking at the floor in front of her, focusing on one of the tiles.
“Oh, my God! What the fuck? You think it’s ok for a man to scare you or threaten to hit you?” he says, keeping his distance from her.
“You are scaring me right now,” she says, looking up at him, tears streaming down her face.
“ This situation is scaring me. I want it so bad, but I can't lose my kids. They’re my life.”
“This is what's going to happen, Sunshine.” He steps over to her. Taking her chin in his hand and tilting her head up to him. “You are going to get yourself together. We are going to go out and get on my bike and I'm takin' you to my place. You can eat
