weather is all the way down into Florida. Well … cold at night. I would like to get into Virginia at the very least.”
“I’m kind of too full to want to go to bed. I suppose I can after my food digests.” She had been sleeping one-hundred percent better since she met them, although she hadn’t slept alone a single night. She would go home to her house every day, but didn’t sleep there.
Despite her words, Lou was on the verge of sleep when Joe popped into her mind. Thinking of him caused her to sigh heavier than she intended.
“What’s wrong?” Alex asked suddenly as if he might pull the vehicle over to talk to her if need be.
“Nothing really. My ex just came to mind. He never came and got his stuff or tried to contact me. That concerns me.”
“Would you feel better if we drove straight on through? Are you worried about your house?”
“No,” she assured him. Joe wouldn’t do anything or she didn’t think he would. “I just—I don’t know—thought about him, and thought it was weird. Nothing more or less.”
Alex nodded. “If you feel the need to go home, we can. I was just thinking it would be an easier trip if we stopped somewhere for the night. Maybe we can do something fun on the way home. I feel kind of bad for ruining your Easter.”
“You didn’t ruin my Easter. I had a good time at the restaurant. Everyone was really nice and if you want the honest truth, your sisters made me feel kind of uncomfortable. They were looking at me as if I was trailer trash.”
    “I know. I didn’t miss the look.”
Lou realized she shouldn’t have said anything, but he brought it up. “No biggie, but you certainly didn’t ruin my day. I was turning into a popsicle anyway,” she said with a note of humor in her voice. “I don’t like the cold much.”
“Have you ever seen snow?” asked Eric.
“Not in real life. Have you?”
“Many times. It’s pretty and white if you’re in a warm house. Otherwise it’s like walking through shaved ice. If you touch it, it’s really cold. Hold it too long and it will make your fingers burn with pain.”
“I didn’t know that. Is that what they call frostbite?”
“That usually takes a little longer, but, yes.”
Had Eric gone out walking barefoot in the snow or had he just held it? The question sounded stupid and she kept it to herself. “Thanks for the info.”
“You’re welcome as always. Ask me anything.”
She knew she shouldn’t, but she couldn’t resist, although the question was aimed more at Alex. “Okay. When are we going to have sex?”
Eric burst out laughing and then Alex did the same. He pulled off the highway, parking to the very back of the lot of a large store where there were no other cars. “Holy shit, that was blunt. Get up.”
    “What?”
“I said get up. Go in the bedroom and strip.”
This was far more than she had bargained for. It had only been a question. “Here?” she squeaked.
“Yes. Here. Now go. We’ll be in in a minute.”
He was serious. Her mouth was suddenly dry as a bone. What had she done? Rising slowly, she walked into the bedroom. Moving so she couldn’t be seen from the front window, Lou took off Eric’s sweater. It was colder at the back of the RV. Alex strolled in with Eric on his heels. He slid the door shut and looked at her. “Well. You should be naked by now.”
Lou did want to have sex with them, but this was not ideal by any means. “We’re going to freeze.”
“No, we’re not. I turned on the solar heat. It’ll kick on in a minute or two.”
    “But—we’re in a parking lot.”
“I know where we are. You want sex. I’m still hot from earlier, and Eric is crawling out of his jeans wanting a piece of you. Now is as good a time as any. Then we can get back on the road with clear heads and sweet memories. When we get to the campground we make more.”
Her clit gave the familiar throb of arousal. His voice was so deep and penetrating as if he could stroke her nerve
